The Leafs had a 7 or 8 game stretch where everything went to poop at once, particularly their horrible starting goalie. Other than that they have definitely been the best team in the North.

Sadly, playoffs are a whole different game.

I'd say at this point WPG might have a better top 6 and goaltending. But the Leafs are right there. If they could just get Anndersson to make a bloody save the last few weeks of the season and into the PO's that team would go deep. But he has Luongo syndrome lol...cough cough...

Benson and marody are not available. They are developing chemistry in bako for a run of their own. If injuries occur and one of them are NEEDED, they need a quarantine, even 7 days is harsh. They would be passed on.

Hall is not an option. The Oil would need to basically give up one of Neal, RNH, and Klefbom just to make space... then add assets for Hall. Then they would have to erase history... not happening.

Skinner is doing meh/ok in bako, 91.2% ain't special.

Mike Smith is 91.9 rn, and mikko is 90.2, and Skinner is 86.8 at the NHL level... Smith and koski are holding their own even if not spectacular. Better than calling koski vezina worthy like someone did 2 years ago. None are great but they are tolerable.

You are still as dumb as ever and should consume copious amounts of bleach and tide pods and chase it down with corona's.

The Benson/Marody point is fair. I do think Marody is ready for the NHL and could add a lot to the bottom six, but like you said, that 7 day quarantine is tough.

Hall would have a lot of moving parts. Would definitely need to trade Russell in that and I've seen that Nuge and the Oilers are still pretty far away from an agreement, so he may become avaliable.

Skinner has had a few rough games that dragged his percentage down (i.e the game where he had a 71.4 percentage), but overall going from a 89.2 (89.4 in the ECHL) to a 91.2 the next season gives me hope that he could possibly developing into a solid goalie in a few years.

Did I call Koskinen Veznia worthy? That was a terrible hot take lmao. He's been better since starting his ten games, but he really needs to save the first shot of the game, even if the last one wasn't his fault. Smith has been playing well this season, let's hope it continues.

Thank you for the last part.
