It's a bit apples to oranges since Demko was going to be an RFA, but something to ponder:

If we gave Freddie a $5M X 5 extension, would we be able to trade him straight up for Demko?

I think we all know the answer to that one.

As we have all stated, no point in discussing a Freddie extension until we see what he does in the upcoming playoffs, but in my mind, no way in hell he gets $5M.
