Your “good” team has been pasted the entire month of March ...blown out 9-0, 8-3 and 6-1 twice....they’ve allowed more the 3 goals every game !!!...I don’t have to believe, I’ve subjected myself to watch it. 6 months ago the team was playing well....that has absolutely nothing to do with where this team is today. Maybe they were a poopty team then as well...just playing well. - landros 2
Ok, so let’s get back to logical thinking. If we have virtually the same roster and coaching staff as we did in the playoffs, how are we suddenly a bad team? How is it outside of the realm of possibility that this team cannot get better when they finally show up in the third in every game?
We’re a good team. Lazy, but good. |

They played like crap in the playoffs.
The hot streak last year was probably a fluke.

Yes it almost certainly was. But boy, the mirage was sweet while it lasted. Best 25-30 game streak I have seen them play in 2 decades. |

I don't know, Laughton might you a 2nd as a rental. - jd250
Re-read my post. I said there is one player who might get you something decent. However, I would not trade Laughton for a 2nd round pick.

I posted at the beginning of this season that the Flyers young players were good but not great, and I didn't see much that could be great. I got lambasted for posting this but I was right. I told everyone Patrick was a bust, and even if he was able to play this year he would not give you anymore than he did his first two season. He hasn't even given us that! I didn't see it in Lindblom before his unfortunate medical conditions, and I don't see much more now. I think he is a nice bottom 6 player, and considering he was a 5th round pick, that's about right. I didn't think Ghost was good even if he did bounce back and its obvious the coaches feel the same way. I didn't thing Sanhiem and Myers would ever be top pairing Dmen and again, that is clearly the case right now. I wanted to see more from Farabee and so far he has shown that he can grow into a great player, at least there is hope there. I also believe Hart will be fine eventually. I said TK was just about what he was, and again that has proven to be true as well. Hextall had 6 drafts and got some good players, but nothing that will move the needle, at least not yet.
But its the veteran players that I want moved out of here, before they infect the younger players. These veterans are uncoachable IMO, they just don't get it and will never get it. Fletcher has got to find a way to get rid of them. - jd250
No, you're not right. Let me ask you a simple question. Pretty much all of the young players have regressed and not played well overall, at the same time? You don't find that to be puzzling? Then you go on and talk about the veteran players and they they need to be moved out of here. That they're uncoachable. They don't get it and they never will. Can you put 2 and 2 together? What is the issue here? Is that they young players just aren't that good. Forrest through the trees my friend.
You didn't see it in Lindblom before the medical issue? As he was a force on the forecheck and scoring at a 30 goal pace. Why am I not surprised.

Yep resign him and raffle. Keep the band together. His team sucks with both in he lineup; my bad he is a key core player. |

Love the “pace” argument. |
