They need an Alexei Lalas type rant right now. On second thought, they’ve probably been yelled at a bunch of times this year and it’s obviously done squat.
- Sublime55

They been yelled at a lot this past 5 years, this past decade even. Idk how people still think it’s anything other than the piss poor mix of players they keep icing year after year.

9-0
8-3
Getting blasted by a team with an 18 game losing streak.

I’d guess that would be like swallowing a case of NyQuil.

Don't fool yourself, there has never been any chemistry on this team this entire season. They have played like crap all season, I mean what chemistry?
- jd250

They had that nice run last season.

Sometimes the puck bounces the right way for a decent stretch of time.

Playoffs they were unwatchable.

Spot on, there is no leadership on this team. Its on Fletcher to pull off some magic and change things quickly. Time to move on from Giroux.
- jd250

There is no magic wand that can fix this team. They have no chance this season. Look forward to next season and forget this one. BTW, this is mostly Hexys team still, dont blame fletch

I know it’s the players on the ice that lose the game, but Fletcher and the coaching staff did no one any favors with personnel for this game. Why yesterday waive Ghost when he and Morin were clicking? I know...the cap space for resting Patrick and Lindblom. Wasn’t there any other way? Rest them one game at a time. Go with 7 D. Surely, there are many creative options! Those forward lines tonight didn’t make good sense either.

Elliott needs rest too, and I know nobody is with me on this but I wanted Lyon to start. He definitely stood a better chance starting then shoving him in after Buffalo scored 4.

Fletcher better get someone good to play with Provy by next training camp. Braun is a 5/6 guy, would be good in that role. If he is our 7th—now we’re talking.

We got to the second round of the playoffs last season and we knew losing Niskanen was gonna hurt heading into this season.

I am an Islanders fan and after last years 7 game battle in the bubble I was expecting the flyers to build off of that and be a force in the NHL.

The only thing that has changed within 6 months is Niskanen out and Gustafson in. We’re a good team. Believe whatever you want but only one person is right here and that’s me.
- SuperSchennBros

Your “good” team has been pasted the entire month of March ...blown out 9-0, 8-3 and 6-1 twice....they’ve allowed more the 3 goals every game !!!...I don’t have to believe, I’ve subjected myself to watch it. 6 months ago the team was playing well....that has absolutely nothing to do with where this team is today. Maybe they were a poopty team then as well...just playing well.

This is true. Fletch came in with a broken roster and a mandate from ownership. Tough starting point.

I expect a significant move or three this offseason.

It’s not Fletcher’s fault half his roster is either under performing or regressed since last year.

I know the salary cap may prevent trades but coming back next year with the same front office, coaching staff and roster is so uninspiring and off-putting. I'm embarrassed as we're a nice soft team. I didn't expect this team to win a cup this year, but to be competitive at the very least. This team isnt expected to be this bad and they are a disgrace to watch. I dont pretend to have answers but i fear that Chuck and company dont either.

I thought he did well last year given the spot he was put in. Niskanen was a very good pickup, Braun was solid, Grant was a decent depth trade at the deadline and the AV hire exceeded expectations. The question will be whether Fletcher will be allowed to make significant moves from the higher-ups.

Nope and I’m guessing he wants to put his stamp on the team.

I’m guessing we trade assets for a legit top 4 D man and make a move up front as well.

Provy is really the only guy I see having zero chance of being moved. (Hart too I suppose)

I posted at the beginning of this season that the Flyers young players were good but not great, and I didn't see much that could be great. I got lambasted for posting this but I was right. I told everyone Patrick was a bust, and even if he was able to play this year he would not give you anymore than he did his first two season. He hasn't even given us that! I didn't see it in Lindblom before his unfortunate medical conditions, and I don't see much more now. I think he is a nice bottom 6 player, and considering he was a 5th round pick, that's about right. I didn't think Ghost was good even if he did bounce back and its obvious the coaches feel the same way. I didn't thing Sanhiem and Myers would ever be top pairing Dmen and again, that is clearly the case right now. I wanted to see more from Farabee and so far he has shown that he can grow into a great player, at least there is hope there. I also believe Hart will be fine eventually. I said TK was just about what he was, and again that has proven to be true as well. Hextall had 6 drafts and got some good players, but nothing that will move the needle, at least not yet.
But its the veteran players that I want moved out of here, before they infect the younger players. These veterans are uncoachable IMO, they just don't get it and will never get it. Fletcher has got to find a way to get rid of them.

- jd250

I wasn’t sold on the overall mix after watching the playoffs. I hoped for some moves but even after watching them do nothing in the summer I still thought they would be better then this. The lack of push back is beyond acceptable or at least it used to be in this organization. I’m not sure what to think of this team anymore.

I suspect he will be. Comcast doesn’t know hockey. They’ve gotta be looking at the last 10 years and be ready for change too imo.

That was the most lopsided 7 game series I may have seen in my life. It should never have gone to 7.

Coots, JvR and Farabee never had chemistry. That’s interesting to me.
