i honestly don't know much about Demko...but if we can keep Shesty's cap hit around 5 million till he his almost 30, hell yea

he's just not a guy that deserves even half the amount of attention he gets on the blogs or social media

he's just nothing, he doesn't even hurt them when he's in, doesn't really ever help either

if there's an injury at center, he can eat some minutes, take some faceoffs, play the PK, be a good solider

he has no cap hit, they may as well just keep him around rest of season

It's frustrating cause the playoffs are a pipedream for the most part. You have 20 games to really evaluate Kratsov to see if you can use him full time next season. May help with any decisions on Buch and or Gauthier in the offseason.

Or they can see maybe his game doesn't fit? Could allow them to shop him in trades this offseason. But you need to see what they have. Don't just play him 5 games at the end lol

Yeah, I don't follow the logic here. They knew approximately when he was coming, then had to quarantine, now has practiced with them how many times? And they still don't have him in? How hard is it to sit Gauthier or Blackwell a game or two each, slide the other down and put VK on the 3rd line? The 3 of them can cycle through those spots.

Yep my thoughts exactly. If not Buffalo then when? Gauthier has played the 4th line before. You can put him there and take out PIzza Boy if needed

It makes no sense to me, especially with the deadline coming up. If they played him these past few games, maybe they could get a better feel for the Buch situation. Unless they already have that figured out? Maybe they're trying to get PDG and Gauthier in games to boost their trade value (cheap, depth winger that can help the fourth line for a contender). Hard to figure out the logic here.

Hopefully Quinn doesn't overplay his hand and piss Kravs off. The last thing the team needs is him running back to Russia again...

I don’t think Blackwell or PDG have much trade value, if Gauthier starts getting some minutes I could see teams wanting him. The other 2 are a dime a dozen in FA although Blackwell has been much more than I expected.

For this season, I have no problem w/ him being in the lineup, as long as he's not taking a spot of a player who deserves to be in the lineup. At least NYR can say they gave him every opportunity to succeed, so when he goes there aren't questions about what he is capable of
