Vin is on the bench Kakko team now....not that I agree with him but proud he still isn't afraid to say what he feels
- TPC

Kakko is evolving into a fine player right in front of our eyes. He hasn't been scoring goals as much as we would like ( yet ) but he is LIGHT YEARS better than last season!

1) he is a FORCE against the boards

2) his body shielding protecting the puck is much better

3) among the league leaders in takeaways! Why? because his back checking is much stronger

4) last year he was MINUS 26! horrible plus/minus player. With last nights game, he became a PLUS player --- he is now +1 for the season

Still only 20 years old, gotta give him some more time to grow!

I'm completely fine with questioning Quinn, I honestly don't know if he is the right coach. Maybe its just when I show up at game time lately but it seems so over the top.

And the "fire quinn" crowd only shows up when the team is losing. Got awfully quiet in here after they turned it on last night...

that shot he passed up in the slot only to then shoot it a second later earlier in the game was frustrating as (frank)

Young man learning curve. That's video training. He will get it. He looks like a man playing this year. Not a boy.

yeah, I'm sorry for TJ but Gauthier is gonna be the odd man out with Kravstov

PDG-Rooney-Blackwell is fine for a 4th line

Or ship out Pizza (after expansion draft) and make it Howden-Rooney-Blackwell. Either way is ok with me.

oh yeah, pizza is a UFA after this season

I am fully expecting Barron to take over his spot before the season ends and Kravstov to take over Gauthier's slot

not sure when we see Howden again if Rooney stays healthy

Howden belongs in Hartford --- lets see if they have the courage to do the right thing with him...

I wonder if him getting a chance to play top line minutes, PP/PK, play against some weaker opponents might help him develop the offensive side of his game. He's only 23 and only played 5 total AHL games in his career but otherwise he was a pretty good offensive player in junior, he put up 81 points in 58 games and 75 points in 49 games his last 2 years in junior and it's not like he played in the Q, the WHL is actually a somewhat defense oriented league.

**Edit, seeing he'd have to pass through waivers ruins this**

I mean, there's no reason to do it now, there's only 12 games left in Hartford's stupid season anyway

let the chips fall where they may when it comes to Howden, I dont think they protect him from Seattle

he's just not a guy that deserves even half the amount of attention he gets on the blogs or social media

he's just nothing, he doesn't even hurt them when he's in, doesn't really ever help either

if there's an injury at center, he can eat some minutes, take some faceoffs, play the PK, be a good solider

he has no cap hit, they may as well just keep him around rest of season
