Amazing how many young forwards continue to request to get away from David Quinn

Andersson Kravtsov Lemieux Vesey that we know of. We already know kakko was unhappy with the messaging he got last season as he communicated publicly in Finland. Are there that many more? We know Chytil didn’t find his game until he got to Hartford. And Honestly are you surprised?

I said a few blogs ago, I don’t think Quinn has done particularly well at developing the forwards. He’s done great with the young D but not so much with the forwards. With that being said, I’ve never seen so many players publicly state how unhappy they are with a teams managing of them or disagreements with the coaching staff.

Kravs last year, Kakko last year, we all know how Lias went, TonyD with Quinn, Lemeuix requesting a trade...... not the best look when 3 of your 4 top 10 picks plus 2 other guys have their business out there that they were unhappy about how things were going for them. I can’t name another franchise that has had this much drama surrounding coaches/players being unhappy.

We can say well this was bc of this and that was bc of that, but at some point u have to look at the consistent factor, and that’s management and the coach has remained the same. I’m not blaming anyone, but it’s definitely something to talk about.

I am going to try and parse this a little.

Andersson sucked and still sucks. Vesey (frank)ing sucks. Lemieux is hot garbage. Kravtsov apparently had some maturing to do. Was the Kakko thing even that accurate?

On the surface, this looks like someone attempting to create a pattern through finding one similarity in all situations. While there may be something behind the scenes, this seems like stirring a boiling pot with no real reason to boil. As in a writer writing a piece because the topic is hot, but really doesn't bring anything to the table.
So unless I hear real evidence that Quinn is a tyrannical monster, i think this is bogus.

This is as nothing of a post as it can get (the twitter nonsense not your post). There is literally nothing to discuss here. Just some mouth breathers moronic ideas that the issue with this club is strictly the coach.

I am not even a Quinn guy and this is horse poop. I would not be upset if he was fired 5 minutes before the game but this is utter crap.

Could also have something to do with these kids coming in with expectations for themselves and finding out quickly that if you are going to slot into the top 6, you have to earn it. We have too many options to gift those spots based on draft position. Not all teams are in this boat.

Exactly. I would love to see Kakko and Lafreniere on the top line but they have Panarin, Buchnevich, krieder etc that are all ahead of them in every way except maybe for their potential ceiling.

I'll never understand the people who want to fire Quinn at every turn, but the number of Quinn apologists in here is equally as baffling considering the track record most college coaches have coming to the NHL. We need someone to develop the forwards, not run them out of town.

I'm not so sure there are a ton of Quinn apologists, just a bunch of guys who don't think he is the biggest problem (if a problem at all).

Is he going to be a successful NHL coach? Who the (frank) knows? Your point about college coaches is an interesting one and not in the Rangers favor. But new coaches have to come in to the league from somewhere, the existing ones won't all live forever.

I agree Andersson sucks, but he was our 7th overall pick. The one that bothers me the most out of all of them is LAF not getting more time.

It bothers me too but right now he is simply not going to get the minutes he needs to truly showcase what he is capable of.

It's a double edged sword having elite talent like Panarin along with other capable players and winning the first OA pick.

I want to make sure I'm getting this straight. It's Quinn's fault that Lemieux, a LW'er, wanted a bigger role on a team that has Artemi Panarin, top 10 goal scorer in the league Chris Kreider, and the 1oa pick Alexis Lafreniere ahead of him?

We're really going to act like it's Quinn's fault that Lias stunk for us and still stinks for LA?

Kravs didn't want to play in Hartford. His issues had nothing to do with Quinn. Kakko was frustrated with his own play. It wasn't related to the coaching staff. If you go back and read the article, it even says, "I wish I was getting top line minutes, but my play hasn't been where it needs to be." If anything, that shows me Quinn is holding him accountable...

Am I missing something? Should we just ignore the fact that Strome and Buch have flourished under Quinn? Ffs, I think I'm close to my limit with this Quinn nonsense and I'm not even the biggest Quinn fan!
