Sounds like he was treated a bit unfairly in MTL by Therian and Bergavin. Was too hard on him for his defensive shortcomings and had some very bad influences in his dad and agent. Lost all his confidence and just needed a team willing to spend the time to take their time and work with him.

Seems like a really good person overall.

Small sample size but it's not impossible for him to regain his 55 point form.

Fines should at least be adjusted for their salary...I know thats a can of worms for all facets of life but basically Mcdavid can go around throwing elbows for 0.0004% of his salary while a guy making 70K in the AHL but is called up for a game gets fined 0.07% of his salary.

Just dumb.

Not really.

Its quite simple, the rules suggest a 5K fine is far too low. This was a suspendible offence and it should have been treated as such.
