Nuance is very important. I have no interest nor do I place any weight in your opinion of me. That is quite different from having interest in posting and talking hockey. I find it really fun and entertaining to expose you on a daily basis. I definitely have interest in that.
- MJL

I am glad that I provide enjoyment of any sort to you. But what you think is an audience may perhaps be a roomful of mirrors, or the exposure might actually be exhibitionism.

But anyway, as one might expect from a guy of my background, I like to think, and my posts are often long, usually because I think things out before posting. Some read them, some agree, many don't read, many don't agree, some correct my mistakes, many find me supercilious. That is all understandable and part of being on a sports board. But I do feel a sort of burden to explain anything I am going to say.

Because so much of my training and teaching has not involved perspectives but rather the structure of reasoning itself (means rather than destinations), I start getting frustrated when a person is not just un-analytical, poorly educated about many things, and gets confused, but most importantly, believes that persistent arguments and insults bridges this gap. And one of my many personal failures is that when I am frustrated, I am blunt and nasty.

So, I have to confess I do not think there is any worth, in reading value for others or on my part, to my engaging with you. Nothing intellectually interesting is ever generated. There is nothing personal in this and even if there was, I would be relieved because you have mentioned it would not matter.

Putting you back on the ignore list, which I was quite disciplined in maintaining for 5 months and relaxed only as an experiment, seems like a good public compromise.

The difference between Hedman and Pronger won't be found in the pts or +/-.

Pronger was a nasty piece of work and there was literally no line he wouldn't cross to win. He was like Bob Clarke on defense. Hedman's a choir boy by comparison.

Just ask Dean McAmmond, Ryan Kesler and Tomas Holmstrom.

- Tomahawk

I know about only of the 3 instances, but it seems to me that the two were completely different. Pronger was better in his own end, Hedman is better in the offensive zone.

Pronger was far tougher and far nastier of course. I remember when he came to the Flyers, some GM or the other said "Pronger was born to be a Flyer."

Hedman reeks of HOF.

Prov has a Ryan Suter ceiling. Still good, but nowhere near.

- Tomahawk

What do you mean reeks? He has won the Norris once, will win it again this year, and has a cup and a Conn Smythe. If he retired after this season he would be in.

I’d make anyone not named Provorov available for Eichel.

Unfortunately I think we’re already going to be spending a good deal of assets to fix the defense.

- hereticpride

You will want to keep Provorov simply because of the dire strait of our defense or because you value him that much? Or his youth?

One thing is for sure, no way Eichel doesn’t request a trade. Good god their team is a mess.
- hereticpride

And the Flyers aren't? The only upside for Eichel would be that he would be jumping from the fire into the frying pan.

Boston really looks out of sorts.

And what’s up with Kulikov? Did he change his pronounciation of his name?
Or is it just Jack Edwards being his typical annoying self calling him Kul-E-kov?

Ah ok.

(Somehow when people say he reeks of this or that they usually mean they suspect/believe rather than seeing it as a shoe-in/obvious).

So I just saw from one of those flyers Facebook pages that they’re interested in Bernier? No way that’s true right?

I was just about to say something on this. Just when you think the season couldn't be worse a move like this further lower the bar. Utter nonsense.

Just so were clear. I have no need for you to reply or interact back to get the enjoyment out of it. I know it's hard for you when someone you claim is uneducated and confused, schools you on a daily basis. Just like you didn't follow through on leaving hockeybuzz. You won't follow through on keeping me on your ignore list. You won't be able to help yourself. In closing, there is not a single poster who insults other posters more than you do often when you're proven wrong.
