This is likely a reach, but does anyone think this move is a Locker room issue? I have joked with friends over the last year or two that the team hates Ghost and plays better without him, and if i remember correctly we went on our hot streak last year after he went down lol.

Pretty hard comments from AV on Carter Hart, specifically questioning his work ethic! And then Ghost comes out and defends him publicly, and then the next thing you know Ghost is waived!

I agree with you and we are a minority for sure. I really suspect if Gost ends up on a good team he will flourish. How can anyone flourish, especially on D on the current Flyers train wreck?? I am certain he will be claimed. If he isn't I would say I have him over rated, lol I hope Florida claims him and the rest will be history, just like Carter Verhaighe, anyone could have had him on the cheap, goes to Florida and makes first line and one of their best players, go figure.

Im sure AV wasnt real happy with Ghost contradicting him about Carter's current situation even if he did it for all the right reasons.

Will a team claim him?
O'Connor: It's not impossible, but given the lack of league interest around him last offseason, his recent fall back down the Philadelphia depth chart and the cap constraints of NHL teams, he could easily pass through waivers. Gostisbehere still can provide on-ice value to a team, but his contract isn't a bargain for what he is now. I imagine the Flyers would look at a Gostisbehere claim as a way to clear cap space in anticipation of a looming aggressive offseason, but there's no guarantee another team will oblige.
