If this was a regular 82 game season then I guess you can be concerned. But with the amount of games left and with how the schedule is structured I think they are fine making the playoffs.

If they do not add a winger for the first line I don't see them finishing in the top 2 spots, but with how the arenas are not allowed to full capacity I don't know if it matters too much.

The principal way it matters is that the home team gets the last change, so a smart coach like Trotz can get the matchups he wants. Also, if the Covid numbers improve, then the arenas will gradually be allowed more spectators.

Islanders have 7 million in cap space there is no reason to wait anymore. Our captain unfortunately is out. Our leading scorer has been replaced by Komarov. He cant score into an empty net. Bellows had 3 goals and is benched for komarov. The top line is a non factor now with komarov. Your top line is getting the most ice time when your looking for goals and komarov on that line if you fall behind its over. Pittsburgh will be tied with the Islanders after tonight if they win.

I think the only reasonable thing to do now is Fire Barry and kick Lou to the curb.

On a serious note, Lou doesn’t make any deals on his own. It takes 2 GMs to agree on a deal and it needs to make sense for both.

I see Buffalo going under and getting sold in a year or less. You see After the trade from Buffalo to Montreal how happy Staal was. It was liked he was paroled. Isles should of had a deal in place already
