Looks like the US is doing well.

Biden will announce today that 90% of U.S. adults will be eligible for the vaccine by April 19, and that the U.S. will more than double the number of pharmacies where people can get a shot by then. Story link to come.

Just to show how much of a clusterfuk it’s been, Fraser Health did a mass front-line vaccination campaign a while back and vaccinated entire departments at a time.

No one thought of the ramifications of a mass rollout instead of staggering the shots. Many hospitals went into emergency protocols because so many staff were off sick at the same time after receiving their dose.

Even the health authorities are stumbling through this. Let’s hope we learn from our mistakes when the next virus roles around.

That's ridiculous. I heard they were smart enough to stagger the health care workers here. I really feel for all the people in the more populated provinces who have had to deal with so much nonsense.

Here there are literally people putting off getting their shots not because they're anti-vax, but because there are no cases and the shots are so readily available that in their minds there isn't a rush.

Sounds like the Astrazeneca vaccine ? Anyone I know that's had Pfizer has had no effects.
- golfingsince

Moderna. I had a mild fever/headache and general body soreness for about 2 days. My arm was sore and got a little swelling in my armpit for about a week.

What's so weird is I know people twice my age who barely felt a thing.

Also apparently the 2nd one hits harder so I am not looking forward to that.

Funny how Canada appears to have all these vaccine delivery delays.
- VanHockeyGuy

Not surprising though. Trudeau needs to be shot into the sun with Loui

So impressive. No wonder players don’t want to play in Canada

Sure. You can get a vaccine quickly but will likely get gunned down while leaving the pharmacy.

11% vaccinated with another 3.3M doses arriving this week. Pfizer alone sending 1M doses a week until the end of June.

I wonder if the difference is that substantial. We couldn't get Pfizer here because most of the north lacks the ability to store it properly.

What do you mean? Whatever the cost it’s worth it as their economy is back up and running.

Well, they only had a year to plan.

Takes 5 years minimum to test a vaccine to make sure it's safe, people need to do thier homework on vaccines.

That's without global cooperation.
I'm taking the first one I get as soon as it's offered, same with the 2nd one.

As you know there's also a good portion of the population in the US that isn't very bright.
