Serious question and you would know. Do they even have to protect him because he is a UFA?
- MBFlyerfan

I wasn't aware until now that he was a pending UFA. So no, they don't have to protect him.

I think said commenter was being somewhat facetious. But if you keep making bone head plays, not executing the simple assignments, and becoming a constant liability, it doesnt matter how big or fast or which hand you shoot with, your not going to make it on any team.

With that said, he's 24 and I think he can right the ship with more coaching and studying. Will that be with the Flyers? Who knows.

Flyers are not going to give up on Myers. No chance.

good

No way to get to 80 games.

Buffalo fan told me that we can just have those games if it was up to them because really it doesn’t get lower than where they have bottomed out. Flyers absolutely have to use this opportunity.

Myers is having a tough stretch, but he will bounce back. Same for Provorov and Sanheim. I know their a tough watch...all three are young.

Why must the Flyers always partake in some obscure record?

How do you know that he will bounce back, what if this is the best it will ever be from Myers? He is really a dumb player to be honest.

No he's not dumb. He's basically a rookie that needs to refine his game.

The Flyers as a team need to understand that this is the way they need to play if they are going to win games in this league. They are not a finesse team. They are not a team that has a tremendous amount of skill and speed. They are not a East West team that can get away with playing pond hockey. They are a team that has to win with toughness, grit and defense, that's it. They are not going to win games 9-0, its going to be 2-1 or 3-2. Until they get this into their heads, they will not be successful. Both goal today were deflections from shots from the point, these are not skill goals, these are grunt goals, they just have to accept it.

He’s going through a bad stretch...Justin Braun hit on it....the young d are over thinking everything...they can’t get out of their own way. Problem is the replacements are no better, so there’s no where to hide any of them....it’s been a failure on Chuck’s part to not get some needed help in. I mean all three of Sanheim, Myers and Provy have shown they can play better, a lot better. Can’t just write them off, but all three will have to pick up their game if the Flyers are to have any shot at getting to that next level.

He is not a rookie anymore. That PK where the Rangers scored, look at Myers' position and stick placement, this is the opposite of what defenseman is taught. He should have had his stick pointing into the slot and he should have moved down lower, instead he just sat there and puck watched. This tells me he does not have a high hockey IQ.

I like Morin's game better right now, he skates, he has good size and reach and best of all, he is not afraid to use his size and shoot the puck! I hope the others on D watch and learn.

The last two games for sure...I think anytime someone plays that way it’s contagious. Couple of rough shifts for Myers today, but it was better then a few of his games of late. Hopefully Morin can keep it up...only a couple games but you can see what the Flyers saw when he went in the 1rst rnd. I’m just hoping he can stay on the ice this time.

Every team in the league has to play tough defense and be hard on the puck. The Flyers have more offensive skill then that. They showed that earlier in the season. They're not a grind it out type of team. There will always be close games. They need to get the PP going. The Ranger play pretty much the same PP set up. One team moves the puck around confidently and quickly. The other team doesn't. Get the PP going and the Flyers can be a pretty good offensive team.

They really do struggle to find any amount of high quality scoring chances. Every goal recently it seems they claw and scratch for.

You keep hearing this narrative. The fact is we were lucky to get out of the first round. SOG was 178 - 149 in favor in the Habs, and also out scored 12-11. Including a 5-0 loss. If it wasn't for the Carter Hart show we wouldn't have gotten by them. Second round was the same, 236/204 and 21/19. Including two 4-0 embarrassments.
- Robert's Plant

Knowing the Flyers history...they still have a couple weeks to go before they go on a tear looking like the best team in the league while just missing a playoff berth. Then the same cliché speak will carry over in to the offseason "Well we finished strong so that will be a good sign for the upcoming year!".
Then repeat.

- Glak18

It would be very entertaining if they miss. Beyond entertaining. Absolutely no signs they will turn this around. Will be nothing but fools gold if they do. I am sure the "die hard" fans will lap it up though if they sneak in the playoffs.

For one, can we stop leaving ahmadinejad alone open for one timers on the pp? .
