Hearing that the initial asking price for Taylor Hall involves a first-round pick... Probably going to be tough to get that in this buyer's market but it's the right place to start two weeks out if you're Buffalo.

He stinks but I’d take him for a 4th LW. Contract is beyond horrible though. Has something like 7 goals and 7 assists on the season though which is kinda funny.
Good thing is flames won’t take on another LD Valimaki, hanifin and Gio are holding that down.
There is steady talks with the yotes is what I’m pointing to on the Matheson front...

It's actually a legit possibility. Zona is going to make some wholesale changes. They only have like 2 NHL D under contract next year so Petterson could be an option for them.

Hall is going to net a first and a prospect still. There are a lot of teams that will view him as their Kessel type addition that puts them over the top.

Probably not going to be the Pens unless Buffalo is interested in Petterson and a 2nd.

Also since you wanna compare, let us know which wings dman is getting dealt this year for a 2nd round pick minimum as all the guys you mentioned got at a minimum a 2nd round pick plus.
Just so we aren’t being biased tsn trade bait board has 8 dmen of the 25 players listed... the bottom 6 are Deangelo(can’t even give him away), kulikov(see Deangelo), Miller, Marc staal and montour... wow really deep market there... the next name on the list is 35 year old goligoski at an outstanding 3 points in 29 games on the year! As tsn called him “a decent bottom pair dman at this point in his career”

I don’t care if it’s 1 or 100 as that doesn’t matter and I didn’t bring that up. Pettersson would be the 3rd best option for dmen available on the tsn trade bait board which as I started with, would raise his trade value to a playoff team needing him.
Pretty simple to understand if he was the 9th best dman on that list his value would be much lower.
