Saw somewhere he’s still getting paid & will keep his pension. Just did it for looks. NHL likes its officiating, and I’m pretty sure they tell the refs how they want it called.

Huge. If the Pens win the next game in regulation they tie the Isles for second. But... I'm thinking the Isles look a little different next game. Then again, I very different expectations for this game.

I was expecting this after the third goal. At least they kept their foot down for 2 more this time.

Skated today with Bleugs and the skills coach. Now he's on the Covid list.

You guys know not too long ago all the talk on here was how awesome Trotz was and how the Pens should fire my boy Sully... if the Pens keep the charge going like they are you are going to hear talk of Sully in the Coach of the year convo. Crosby for the Hart too.
- MacPatty

The Pens not having the talent to play fancy really seems to help them against teams like the Isles. Wish they could keep that attention to detail when they are healthy.

I’m sure the pens fancy stats are terrible tonight but I think they look like they are playing well.

Crosby isn’t even top 5 for the Hart and besides that award is all but a lock to some dude with more assists than Crosby has points.

Cant imagine they'd be on any list to get it earlier than the general public.

A number of states are moving to 18+ populations soon, if not already. So hopefully we can see some start to get theirs soon.

It's kind of hard to deny the theme...when we havr a lot of injuries and are forced to play a simple, more meat and potatoes game, we typically fare well.

People roll their eyes at this stuff but seeing the guys protecting Jarry and rallying for each other is a big step in the right direction.

I miss the old days when the argument was "Crosby can't be the MVP of own team when he has another top 5 player playing with him"

Now McDavid just dishes to Draisaitl and wins while barely being relevant for a cup

I said a few weeks ago, that while I have been a strong advocate of axing Sully the last few season, one thing I can't deny him/have to give him credit for is his ability to maximize returns on minimal rosters haha. He has a track record of getting results with really beat up rosters.

Yeah it’s his playoffs that are the problem.

McDavid and Drai winning awards is Edmontons Stanley Cup. When you see them both put up 22 minutes and 5 points a piece in blowout games against teams like Ottawa it becomes obvious.

Doesn't take away from the fact those guys are incredibly gifted and have absurd chemistry together. But just wait til the playoffs when they have to play good teams every night, can't score 2 goals a piece and they burn out.

This is good news for Blueger, could mean he is ahead of Malkin. Plus, Zucker is skating on his own.

When Malkin returns in a week and a half we could see others join him, looks promising.

Of course we aren't privy to the nature of these injuries. Nor are we in the loop of the medical staff's evaluation or how long each will sit out 'just to make sure.'

Zucker is skating with either the team or the taxi squad. I can’t remember which. I’m guessing his injury wasn’t as severe as it looked like it might be.
