I beg to differ with NY Rangers stats but: on April 8th, 1982 in a playoff game against the Philadelphia Flyers, NY Rangers forward Mikko Leinonen set a playoff record with 6 assists. Maybe there needs to be an asterisk as it was a playoff game.

I remember the game well

those two playoff series wins over the Flyers in 1982 and 1983 were some of my favorite Ranger memories as a kid

it was such a case of good vs evil, those Flyers teams were such bastards

yeah I dont see the Rangers and Bruins helping each other out much while they battle one another for the 4th playoff spot

I may be wrong (and haven't had my coffee yet, so I'm not researching) but, I think they said most assists by a NY defenceman.

Cole Caufield is incredible, very interested to see if he is joining Canadiens now like Kreider did in 2012

I think the 4/1 game against Buffalo probably makes the most sense but if someone pops for covid or something like that he might get a chance earlier. Maybe even tomorrow due to the back to back nature to give someone a day off or if Gauthier takes another 8 mins of penalties (sorry TJ)

That makes a lot of sense. Today is probably going to be chippy so no way I put him in there. Then 2 tough games against the Caps wouldn’t be ideal either. Also the full coaching staff will be back by then as TPC mentioned.
