When you peel back the onion on Stutzle, you see he's a good offensive player (partly because of his deployment) but an awful defensive player. We're talking one of the worst in the league. Tons of giveaways.

Pretty wild stat:

The Rangers are tied for 10th in the league with a plus-17 goal differential (that’s better than the division-leading Capitals!) and have somehow lost more games than they’ve won.

Take away the 17 goals against Phi. the past two games, and they are in middle of the pack though.

He said he was fine after awhile and that is was the mental aspect. If it was Nash you would have been going out of your (frank)ing mind.

He got called out when he deserved it.

He was playing sick. You all were vile towards him whatever is what it is. He’s back and everyone is happy

I get it. But eventually they may want to try the #1 pick there if he earns it. Find him a spot somehow

I'm just saying that this issue isn't going away until at least 2027

its always gonna be a thing because they signed two left wingers to big money deals with NMCs and then drafted a left winger first overall

this is never not going to be a thing

Well he lost 15 lbs they said last night. To me that’s not being healthy lol.

Btw, Gauthier has drove to the net this year more than Nash did his whole time here

Indeed, I think the team though probably expects CK in a couple years to slide down to 3LW.

It's a great problem to have. No team in the league outside of maybe Tampa has our "problems" of potentially having more guys than spots.

The power play doesn't concern me as much because CK plays net front but I think once Laf develops the way we all feel he will, CK has to go to 3rd line and can be that dominant forechecking/defensive force while Panarin and Laf play on the top 2 lines. That is if none of them end up switching to RW.

In the 1st couple weeks he was definitely not playing healthy, but most gave him the benefit of the doubt. It was after he deserved the criticism. He even said last night it was mental. Im just saying can't blame "all" his play on being sick. He was playing great defensively, it was the offense that had his brain all loopy. Whatever though, I'm glad he is back to old Zib.

my own feelings were and still are, we can't win unless Zib is great

the offense is designed to go through him, so if he sucks, it doesn't matter if its Quinn, Knobluagh or Peter Puck behind the bench, as Zib goes, we all go.

At this point the PP is right shot heavy with only Kreider being the lefty but also being net front. I do think eventually, before 2027, you might see a left shot on the half wall...Laf or someone else.

And yet Nash has him beat 148 goals to 2.
You're really building up a head of steam here, buddy.

That team bothers me. Such a good complete team bc of system and coaching. However that roster doesn't scare me. One elite forward in Barzal. Its like the 2014 Rangers relying on Hank and the defense to win with Nash up front.
