I was thinking about Cozens when we played BUF. Kids guna be good
- nyrangers9479

Id love to get Cozens. He can immediately jump in and replace Chytil now and move to the 2nd line when Stromes time is up.

However, not a chance in hell BUF trades Cozens.

yeah, it's kind of like a team playing us right now and a fan of theirs saying "you know, we should trade for K'Andre Miller, I like him"

K'andre is the poop.

If I have one tiny criticism its that I would like him to be a tad meaner.

if they did, it buys the Rangers one more year on the left side waiting for Zac Jones to come out of school and Reunanen and Matthew Robertson get full year's in Hartford next year

and then they keep Hajek as the 7th defenseman

next year really isn't the problem, it's 2022-23 when Ghost is still making 4.5 million and those guys need that slot and Fox is off his entry level deal probably making over 6 mil a year

- jimbo83

I think the problem would be that inside 2 years he would be our #6 D man, at best!

I think people have this messed up pipedream that we can have 6 all star defensemen. People need to calm down and understand that we can maybe, at best, keep 4 of them.

I think you'll get your wish.
The kid, and he IS a kid, was thrown into the deep end and is doing laps!!! In 2-3 years he will be even more comfortable with who he is as a player and what he needs to do, and he'll likely be 20-30 lbs heavier!!

Not so long as they keep coming in with staggered ELC's!!
Waiting for Trouba's buyout will be excruciating.

Im predicting 2024. This will open the spot for either Lundkvist or Schneider.

With Hajek playing sound and the talent in the wings. Not sure it's a big deal for 21-22 season either. The signed Schnieder and Reunanen. I'd rather see if either is ready for the jump. Or just sign Smith to another 1-2 year deal.

If we can get Smith on the cheap I think we should keep him around regardless. He seems to be a good veteran presence and locker room guy for the kids.

Just saw that Zegras was dropped to the Ducks taxi squad. If there was one rookie who I expected to come in and crush it, it was him. Just goes to show how tough this season is for young players and what Kakko and Laf are dealing with. They must see him playing as a detriment to his development, otherwise they would likely let him work through it.

The way they're playing, AV will be on waivers soon too.

yeah, i'd say so

seems like next year the most likely scenario on blue line is

Lindgren-Fox
Miller-Trouba
Reunanen/Hajek-Lundkvist

with Brendan Smith signed short term, and Smith can play either left or right sides without a problem

not one team should be making a reckless evaluation of one of their star young players over this preposterous season that never happened before and wont happen again

I think Nils is the second coming of Fox. Will make that top 4 interesting since Trouba might get pushed to the 3rd pair. $8m on the 3rd pair....

I think everyone is shocked at the speed at which the defense has progressed. Jacques Martin might actually be a defense whisperer.

Could see him moved at the deadline since he is so versatile.
