Because they are terrible at putting together a skill play. Theyre terrible at entering the zone. Why are we dumping the puck around the boards? We have a man advantage on the ice which means someone will always be open. Then when we finally do gain the zone, all anyone wants to do is pass the puck.

They showed battle in the 3rd against a strong And complete team. Quinn killed their own momentum by calling that timeout. kink let a few softies up but in the end the rangers missed on a lot of opportunities that could have changed this game

Not trying to argue about him not being good though, he is solid. I just don't consider him top of the league good. I think a few forwards on the Rangers are better defensively than him, including Buch and Zib.

I definitely went overboard with that comment lol. However the point is what if were seeing the makings of someone who will be a Selke nominee year in and out.

We also are a very defensive oriented team that happens to have lucked out in a half rebuild. With such a depth of players that its difficult to give everyone the minutes we want them to get and the opportunity so they can produce.

Im just gonna lets the cards fall where they may and hope it sorts itself out in the next couple years.

Chytil needs to be moved to the wing, that 3rd line gives us nothing. Either trade Buch for a center and move Chytil to wing or trade Chytil for a young center like Kupari. Also Laf needs to be put on a line with 2 veterans like Zib and Kreider to get him going. You can’t let your number 1 overall picks confidence go into the dirt this early in his career.
