The 2 other forwards was the equally useless Carpenter and Janmark who were standing around in the O-zone. Murphy had just come on the ice when the 3 Stooges turned the puck over. Murphy needed to block the puck with his body for sure but Strome needed to try to get in support position instead heading off the ice. Especially since Keith was committed to the change because his replacement had already jumped on the ice.

What are you talking about Murphy was on the ice all the way across the ice along the boards on the opposite side of the bench, the Hawks shot the puck in the puck came around to Murphy and he couldn't put a fork in it and then did a snow angel on the ice. That was all on Murphy. But i guess you have a blind eye to Murphy's bad plays, i guess you look around and say wait Strome is at least 100 feet near the puck it must be his fault

The Hawks are down two centers, and they have Strome playing right wing on the 3rd line. Carpenter is playing center ahead of him. Nuff said.

I am because its the way the game is moving. Look at all the top teams and what is the one thing they have in common. Speed up and down the line-up. Course they have to be able to play, too.

Strome could get by with a lack of foot speed if he any quickness at all. He doesn't. Seriously. Watch how often he is a half step behind the play because he can't get going.

And therein lies the problem, we don’t have enough depth up front, if we did you wouldn’t see the Highmore’s of the world on the ice. We need Dach, Toews, and another good speedy winger with size, one that can put up 20/25 goals. If no Toews, then we need another good center as well. I have to admit, I’m enjoying watching this team this year.
