The stats and zone time clearly favored the Cats, but much of what Florida accomplished was from the outside - your are correct, the forwards had excellent support, all five skaters protecting Lankinen, not many bang-bang rebounds for the Panthers.

If Colliton can somehow teach them how to complete passes....

It was painful watching them try to get through the neutral zone for the first couple periods. They kept at it, though.

Glad to see Hagel's hustle rewarded with his ENG. Did you notice after he shot the puck from center ice he started skating hard toward the Florida end of the ice in case the shot missed.

These last two wins will make Stan's decision to become a seller more difficult.

Especially if Dach is scheduled to be back before the season ends

I don't think it will at all. Everyone knows where this team stands. There are no secrets. I would say the idea is to wait for an advantaged deal for any of the rentals (and possibly de Haan). I don't think the team's position will change their actions (or at least I hope they don't).

What a great win tonight Blankinen was superb how can't you like Dehann Murph and Carpenter old time hockey players Zadorov hit was a game changer and on a dirt bag like Hornquist even better . Hagel was special again non stop motor looks like a real steal by Stan !!

A bunch of them need to go to summer camp with Kane and ADB. Their passing, stick handling, and skating will improve.

I agree. But if there is a so so deal Stan may pass instead of making the deal. Soderberg for a 4th. Pass. Janmark for a 3rd. Pass. deHaan for a 4th. Ok maybe. lol

I agree, his hockey IQ is pretty good as well. Has a very good feel what the opponent is going to do with the puck.

Watching to replay that goal by Suter was impressive

Same with the hit on Hornqvist, that was a Big Buff hit

That 3 on 0 save by Lanky, so patient of course it came about because of my favorite dman Murphy, none the less what a great save.

Great game

Guess you missed your boy Strome looking at the play happening and getting his ass off the ice, huh?

Ya he still has his offensive gifts I knew he would hit that empty net even if he did not but good hustle on him to try and beat out the icing never in doubt .

Nah. You stay the course. SB isn't building to make the playoffs. He is trying to build a legit contender. That being said, I don't believe he will make a move that can be interpreted as a white flag trade. Or until at Dach is back and showing good form.

This season is just showing some of the pieces may be in the system right now.

Zadorov did. Hagel was never offered a contract. He was a 6th round pick by the Sabres, tho. They never got the chance to kill his soul.

He was tired, my boy, stop, just because i don't think we should trade him and see what kind of hockey player he might become, makes him my boy, okay sure, i guess he didn't realize Murphy was going to break out his snow angel move, hahaha, or the other 2 forwards getting off

Own it. lol
He is what he is. A one dimensional, situational player. The situation being the PP. He offers nothing else.

The 2 other forwards was the equally useless Carpenter and Janmark who were standing around in the O-zone. Murphy had just come on the ice when the 3 Stooges turned the puck over. Murphy needed to block the puck with his body for sure but Strome needed to try to get in support position instead heading off the ice. Especially since Keith was committed to the change because his replacement had already jumped on the ice.

The Hawks are down two centers, and they have Strome playing right wing on the 3rd line. Carpenter is playing center ahead of him. Nuff said.
