Both, actually!

(Sorry Reuby, that was only 420 words of their 3,600 word article on what the Canucks could do to poach players from teams during the expansion. If you'd like, I think I have some free passes to The Athletic so you can see it all for yourself!)

Its all good, just because I do not like either of those 2, doesn't mean I don't read them, I tend to read lots of different stuff hockey related.
I did notice that nothing was in the posted section, that hasn't already been discussed here, which is why I sometimes laugh at the credibility some people give those 2, when Joe Average fan, has already talked about said material.

I take into question, when the opening statement says the expansion draft isn't really a draft at all(paraphrasing) then not really explaining how it is not a draft.
A draft means a source of which you pull players from, which is clearly what gets done in any expansion or dispersal draft.
I also find this funny because these analytic types want to re-name everything from +/-, to player usage, to the draft, because that is wording that "hockey men" used.
These same people, also complained about mainstream media and how come the analytics crew(alternative media)doesn't get the same treatment as msm. These people have sold out and are now part of mainstream media and are the ones during intermission that no one wants to watch and they are the same ones that ask most of the questions at post-game press-conferences, extremely dull and extremely annoying bunch, if you ask me.

I wonder if the refs will show some sign of solidarity against the teams involved. It will be interesting to see if they support Peel or not.

Me too. It would be alright if we had the speed to counter, but I just don't think our forwards can skate backwards nor cross over fast enough to handle the system the way it's supposed to be played.
- Load Management

I prefer the 5 man unit as opposed to the forwards and defense playing a zone apart.

Funny

Which team are the Canucks? The five man unit going forward, or the two defenders going backward with no support?

Has to be the ones defending, because if that was Canucks, the forwards would have been up near centre ice as soon as a defenseman touched the puck.

I'm just bugging you with the word count

They mention it's not really a draft as much, as Gilman said, an "asset harvest event". If it was a pure draft, they'd just take players from each team, and be done. But since they can trade around, make side arrangements, get players/picks in return, it's more of a market than a strict draft.

I think people give them credibility because they put in a massive amount of research, digging, conversations, analytics, and they stake their credibility every time they post something. I mean, if the bar for being a hockey journalist is reporting things that haven't been talked about in here, then there wouldn't really be much of anything written, ever. Lol.

I was also with you until you started generalizing and putting people into crowds, and projecting what one group wanted and what the other didn't and spinning things into a narrative.

Honestly, I have five 30-day guest passes for the entirety of the site. There's lots of great sports content on there outside of the Canucks. If you want to take a gander, let me know.

Professional suicide. That'd be a great way to cap the season

Are you looking forward to the asset harvest event on April 12th and then the asset harvest event on July 23-24.😉
I will keep in mind your offer of the temporary Athletic subscription. I appreciate the offer.

I’ve got some guest passes as well, if anyone is interested. I think it’s a great site. You can pick which teams from any sport that you’re most interested in and that content shows up on your Home Screen. The crazy amount of other content is easy enough to find.

I also think that there’s a way to sign up that gets Carol a kickback, so you might want to go that route. If there’s one thing we can all agree on, I think, it’s that Carol deserves to get paid.

I don't know much about anyone else on their roster. Tage Thompson? Cozens? Problem being they're not as likely to give up their younger players for cheap.

Is zoo time over....? So one more do or die game. Seems important enough for banged up Bo and Sutty to play. What do the boys do listen to Green or his critiques...

Squire Barnes; the reason why the Canucks are ahead of the Flames in the standings, is because the Canucks can beat Ottawa and the Flames can't.
