I think it's unfair to say that Fox is Leetch. That being said, I've maintained he will be the cornerstone of our blueline of the future. I'm fully confident that he will win a Norris in his career.

I think Fox is going to end being Fox, if you get my drift. Soon experts will start comparing other to him. I am all aboard the 8 year extension.

I would do that deal in a heartbeat. That would really help down the road.

locking up Fox for like 6.25 mil the rest of this decade would be extraordinary

gotta play that you've been a Ranger fan all your life voo-doo on him

I thought this was interesting:

Kreider only has 4 stretches/streaks of going pointless this year. Three stints of two games without a point and one stretch of four games.

He has only had one pointless "streak" since Feb 16 (the two games against WSH last week, where he played 21 minutes/game)

- Bean_Dip

That is interesting. I think he's less noticeable when they ar playing poorly.

Just got the TSN notification to my phone that he's done calling games for now and in the future. He was going to retire after his last game which was supposed to be April 24th.

I agree that we need to lock him up sooner than later. Let's just hope that after him, no one ever wears 23 for the Rangers again

The NHL had to do it. With so many gambling companies associated with the league now it could have destroyed those sponsorships if any idea of refs deciding games was out there.

The only thing I would do before signing Fox to an extension is to pressure the league to allow for longer terms for controlled players!! Give him the DiPietro contract!
Signing him at $6.25M per would be just about the best value contract in the league.

Only issue most of us have is his disappearing act.

- Fenrir

Kreider isn't the only player in league that goes on hot streaks and then disappears from the box score for a while. If we watched other teams as much as NYR I have no doubt we'd realize that it happens many other players, otherwise they'd all be putting up McDavid #s

Gorton better give Fox a long term deal soon. Don't want to have to pay him 9 mill per if he continues like this for a couple more years.

Would that remove the mid game dweeb from popping up on my screen telling me to bet with fan duel?

well they can't even discuss one with him until this summer

it would be unprecedented of them to operate like that, they always wait until last minute with contracts

Kreider leads the East division in goals and is tied for 6th in the league. Yet still read how he is overpaid as a 2nd liner at 6.5 million. Makes me laugh

You should talk to his agent about becoming an assistant.

It'll just be another site. Just be glad one of the worst refs in NHL history is gone.

On this date in 1998, #NYR traded Mike Keane, Brian Skrudland and 1998 6th round pick (Pavel Patera) to #DallasStars for Todd Harvey, Bob Errey and 1998 4th round pick (Boyd Kane)

Doesn’t sound like there will be approval granted to the OHL to return to play this week. Not what the league, clubs, players and parents want to hear.

I loved Harvey

I actually interviewed for a job with Verizon in Manhattan in like 1999, didn't get the job, and went to Cosby's and got a Todd Harvey jersey to ease my pain

That's pretty cool.
Oh the days of the agitators and hard-nosed players.
