agreed. i didnt think he would be good, and i realize this is low hanging fruit, but hes bad. for better or worse as the center youre going to be expected to carry the play a little bit more than the wingers. they might be able to get by a little better with the scrub wingers if he just was even slightly more competent.

even taking away that last rush goal, gaudreau just looks much more positively noticeable. id take sceviour over jank if you were bumping him to wing. Rodrigues is more or less scrub fodder too, but at least he has speed and zero hesitancy to shoot. if bodies every start coming back, you have to think jank is running out of rope, right?

I would prefer them to call it to the T the entire season that way going into the playoffs teams are accustomed to the calls as opposed to the way it is now, they call more penalties at the beginning and loosen up for "playoff hockey" and then a bunch of garbage happens.
