They should sit Jankowski for a game and see if he responds. At the very least he is off the ice and you can see what we have without him. DK's website has been calling for Jankowski to be traded/waived/scratched for multiple games now. Essentially saying he is the first one off the ice after his line gets called to switch each time (implying he doesn't wanna play/put any effort in) and he also shows how he takes a lazy approach to the game with multiple clips of hardly any effort from Jankowski on plays.

Anyone else see the Flames try to keep Gustavson's first win puck? Then when confronted, shoot the puck down the ice... What a (Richard) move...

Jankowski is the classic example of you can't make chicken salad out of chicken poop. After all, he only cost $700k. You could be in Buffalo wondering if Jeff Skinner is ever going to return to his glory.

I found it https://www.buffalohockey...n-newcomer-dominik-kahun/

After struggling to adjust in Pittsburgh, Kahun acclimated to the Sabres right away.

“Hockey’s always fun for me, but obviously with the different tactics and all the different systems, the system in Pittsburgh … I had to do other stuff,” he said. “So here the hockey’s more fun for me again.”

To me it sounds like he just didn't like backchecking as much as he liked being a freewheeling offensive player

In some cases, i would believe this statement, but its buffalo, nobody has had fun playing in buffalo for at least 5 years. it is just a generic statement when you get traded.

Jankowski was the epitome of a Rutherford signing to be honest.

Former 1st round pick - check
Advanced stats (goals) are super promising (scored 14 goals and 17 goals)
6' 4" (big) - dont bother checking how he uses his size, just trust me he's got good size

Wasn't upset about the move at all at the time (since he's making league minimum). But there really is a risk -- the risk that he must play every game and never, ever for any reason come out of the lineup.

- YouMeAndDupuis9

If you’re making a joke here about how goal totals are advanced stats, good job. I chuckled.

If you were being serious about his advanced stats being good though, what were you looking at? The numbers made him look like a garbage player with a wrister that sometimes went in. I remember thinking we had just realquiles Brandon Sutter from the numbers.

Nobody in here made the HBSL playoffs? Did a quick scan of names but couldn’t see any from here.
I finished 24th overall and am up by 40 points so far on my opponent this week.

I liked Kahun, but guys like him shouldn't ever complain about his usage. I don't remember him being deficient at backchecking however.

It's clear the Flyers are the weak spot in the 5 team race for the playoffs. They are a mess and its showing. I have a feeling we are going to need a lot of help the next few weeks while down a few guys, so every chance they have to lose would be good. Devils making up for the 2 games they took from us.

No idea why Hextall isnt playing the waiver wire. Need to get lucky with a bottom 6 player or two. Half the guys in our bottom 6 are not NHL caliber players.

I agree. There is literally very little possible way they could find worse players on waivers or give some Wilkes guys a shot. Pickup one dump another. I’d it’s the same tire fire pickup someone else and dump him.

He can only do it 2 times and then we would be at the 50 contract max. Then it screws you over for trades, anymore waiver pick ups and won’t allow for any signing of college free agents at seasons end.
Pens are about 20th in waiver priority as well so 20ish teams would have to pass over that player first.

Yup. I just saw that. I mean, we all know this likely changes nothing. We may see a bump in penalty calls for a little a bit, but they will go right back.

It's not like the league didn't know about this. In fact, they're completely complicit in it.

He called all the players the n-word. Kidding lol.

He basically said it wasn't really a penalty, but he wanted to call something.
