A few shrewd moves and the flames might be ok. It feels like the older leadership has lost the room maybe. It happened to the oilers in the past. Maybe try to move out gio and others, JH has value. Try to sign a getzlaf or two for some veteran help. Let the young guys take over. MT is at his best when he’s pissing everyone off, let him go with that, worked for the bruins. They already have the goalie, I don’t think it would take a full rebuild. Maybe just working on the room a bit would make the difference.
