That was me I had a goalie get scored on last year in a h.s championship game and he pulled the puck out of the net and stood there. I was on the blueline and said this kid is gonna make me skate to get it and shoot it I know it and that's a misconduct. So I skate in and 5 feet from him he throws it in the corner. I stopped and said go pick it up right now and he said no, I said pick it up right now he said no.again. I said ok thats a 10 minute misconduct and you can't serve it so either go pick a player on your team to sit for 10 minutes or go pick the (frank)ing puck up right God damn now. He looked at me went over picked it up and handed it to me in front of the entire crowd and I said don't pull that poop again. After the game rink staff and the sheriff came in the room and saod the dad wants to fight me outside and that they would walk me out (frank) that kid and his dad.....oh and I didn't give him a penalty.....game management

100%, and not only sports parents. If a kid gets in trouble in school these days or wherever the parents blame the teacher or principles, etc. because their kids are never wrong. Like your Dad my father would have shook his hand and then probably smacked the poop out of me for acting like an ass.

Nah they weren't letting him anywhere near me lol and the sheriff's kid plays hockey so he was all about taking that guy's lunch money if he tried anything. A Jr parent tried that too and I told him to suck a Richard and my linesman restrained him and told me go in the room cause I was ready to fight him. I was calling a major at the end of the game and the coach of the team that was foulded asked to speak to me. He said I know you have a major on that but since there's less than 5 to go its an auto game misconduct too and that kid has a college showcase he shouldn't miss for that hit. I said so you want me to call a minor on them not a major and he said yes so I said uh ok. So because I did the dad wanted to fight me until the coach said he was calling a major I told him to change it I've never had a coach ask me to give the opposition a lesser call in a game in 17 years and I've never changed a call like that and it almost got me jumped

We played a game and were destroying the opposition and they started running our players. One guy boarded one of our D man and the ref called a 5 minute major and the guy lost his poop and threatened the ref. We told him that we would be out in the parking lot having some beers and he wouldn’t have to worry because if he started with him we would kick his ass for that cheap ass hit. The guy came out and we told him to keep walking, he did.

He’s not the same player obviously but he’s interesting if he really wants another shot at a cup and the Ducks retain some salary so we can add some more it’s intriguing.
