Yeah, I should have prefaced by saying I would not be opening the purse strings for Strome after next year to put him on a level with some (most) of those contracts. Flat cap, guys coming off ELC's and all that. But, if there is a deal to be made that management can live with while keeping their eye on the big picture, I'm comfortable with 4-5 more years. At least, until the time comes to decide whether he gets moved down the line.

Flat cap is huge. These players are going to have to understand the most likely won't get paid, be happy you have a job that earns millions.
You guys know I like Strome, but I'm with you on not overpaying. Fortunately we have another season to see how things go.

I don’t hate those lines to be honest.....maybe keep Kakko with Panarin though

Zib - Kreider Laf
Strome - Kravtsov Buch
Chytil - Panarin Kakko

Who is taking faceoffs on the 3rd line?

I have noticed. And I can't say you are wrong.
Last week was one year of working all day alone in the basement. I spend half the evenings alone as well if the wife and daughter feel like watching something I'm not interested in. And then they go to bed 2-3 hours before me, too.
I think I'm feeling the Covid strain a little more of late. Our numbers are headed in the wrong direction again, too. Even with the vaccines being doled out. Southern Ontario could be in lockdown again in another week.

It would be so much easier to get along with people, if only everyone was as smart as I am.

No need to rehash this, we’ve had our bout in the past. All I’ll say is that you’re going to miss out on all the fun of having a superstar on the team if you’re concerned about his cap hit that really doesn’t make much of a “cap hell” as you claim it does.

I didnt bring it up, Jim did.

The only player on this team with a bad cap number is Trouba. And after next season with most of the big money buyouts off our books we can even afford to buy him out. Panarin is worth his hit all day.

Exactly what I noticed when I took a look after the “cap hell” comment.
We need to keep Trouba until Schneider is ready. Although, with 6 points in 6 games and a +7, that might not take too long!!

Yeah they’re done. Nothing on that team scares me. Boston on the other hand is another story.

Everyones favorite ref Tim Peel is under the microscope saying he was itching to call a penalty on someone.

That would be great. Especially with Captain Chin out of the picture. Let’s get a significant winning streak going .

Btw I sent my Isles friends that Strome/Barzal stat line and they’re totally speechless. Honestly it’s like a kick in the balls for an isles fan. You would think it wouldn’t even be close.

Can't say I'm surprised since we all know it happens. Colin Campbell is going to slap his wrist and remind him not to state the obvious when mic'ed up and carry on.

we're lucky that Makar and Quinn Hughes become RFA's this summer, but Fox has one more year of entry level left.

The Rangers are eligible to give Fox an 8 year extension this summer if they wanted to though.

They've never operated like that before, but it may be smart if they did

I dont know what the AAV would be but if they could lock him up long term at a reasonable price this summer, definitely do it.
