So now we have to be patient w/ 25% of our fowrards!? Hopefully Kravs just rips it up and gives us a glimpse into the future - rrentz
No, no one is saying you have to be patient. You can be (frank)ing miserable if you want. |

Not news to anyone here, but this season has been so up and down. I keep wavering on my own expectations for the team on a game by game basis, but I hope they're able to remain competitive the rest of the way. I don't even necessarily care how the season finishes, but somehow they're still not out of this thing and it would be fun for it to come down to the wire.
That's a pretty significant feat given all of the bs the org has had to overcome. |

It really is easy to forget how little expectation of being competitive there SHOULD BE around this team.
The NYR brass has done such good work that we want to have our cake and eat it too.
My personal hope for this team is just to see each individual progress even a little, while they grow together as a team that lives and dies for each other. That is a culture that can propel a team to even greater heights than they might be expected to reach. And the bar is already going to be pretty damn high for this club! |

That was the expectation before the season started, then the puck dropped and out the window it went. |

In fairness, if Zib doesn't have that horrendous slow start we probably win at least half of those 1-goal losses, which would put us firmly in a playoff position.
Unfortunately, that's not reality. Expectations should adapt to the most recent set of information available. Like Bruce Lee said, "Be like water". |

Seems completely reasonable.
I think it's important to remember this season that every team is going to deal with their share of adversity. We've certainly dealt with more than our share already. So, there is a chance (that should not be relied on!!) that the teams ahead of us fall back toward the pack somewhat.
This season should not be measured by the standings alone, but I refuse to accept that we can't squeak in and gain a little more valuable experience before the day is done. At least not yet. |

Yea that "what if" game always gets me. It is why it is so hard to win in hockey. One player gets hurt or underperforms that the team relies on and it just shifts everything.
I remember when Zucc go hurt in the playoffs and that appeared to change the whole momentum and flow of the Rangers. |

It certainly did. But, that was not a run of the mill injury!
When your captain drills one of your most popular teammates in the head with a slapshot that leaves him temporarily mute, I'd imagine it is a little more unsettling. |

Pittsburg with their 12-3-1 home record and 7-8-1 road record is my pick to fall in the standings. Law of averages should put them in a vice down the stretch.
If that happens, up to us to catch Philly. |

I just watched that documentary
Given everything going on here in the states, a VERY timely watch. Highly recommend, even if it's just to see Bruce and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar spar. - Bean_Dip
For sure. I devoured all things Bruce when I first got into marital arts training at the age of 20.
Little known fact, when filming Enter the Dragon, they had to speed up the recording speed of the cameras in order to clearly show Bruce's hand movements. His speed made it look like his opponents were just letting him hit them uncontested! |

Legit over half of the Pens remaining schedule is the Devils/Sabres though. They will make it by default |

Lol He’s been fine defensively. He’s made two mistakes all season, and he was basically hung for them |
