What. I have no problem quoting people. Its just the overall "Quinn sucks" chants.
Pickle tends to be rational in his posts. So it wasn't directed at him

- mdw7413

I got into a conversation yesterday from an otheriwse reasonable guy..

he listed like the last 10 first overall picks and pointed out how much more minutes they got per game in their rookie seasons as opposed to what Lafreniere is getting

steering towards the narrative that Quinn just hates kids

I pointed out that a very big part of the reason for Lafreniere's icetime is that he is a left wing and the Rangers have Panarin and Kreider also at LW

just completely dismissed, "has nothing to do with it"

how could Panarin and Kreider playing the same position as Lafreniere have nothing to do with lafreniere's icetime?

when did everyone go nuts?

Buffalo is just so strange, they seem to have been doing a lot of things the right way

firing Phil Housley after Rasmus Dahlin had such a great rookie season seems to be a really really shortsided thing to do though, he just looks lost

- jimbro83

They have 10 first round picks in there line up. They can’t seem to develop their picks

And Fox, Lindgren and Miller defeat the whole "hates kids" narrative

Regardless of his ice time, I’d rather him play than not play. And I was “bytching” about his ice time when Kakko was out, and he eventually got more, and he played very well. Certainly playing over Blackwell is a must, if you all don’t agree with that idk what you’re missing

There are maybe 10 players in the league that can drive to the net like him

Let’s just dump a 6’4 power forward who skates like Messier and is starting to develop a scoring touch. Yep, that makes a lot of sense 🤦‍♂️

Which 2 do the rangers protect? out of:

Strome
Gauthier
Lemieux
Blackwell
Rooney
Howden

Panarin-Zib-Kreider-Chytil-Buch are the obvious 5

Youd figure Strome is protected and obviously Id protect Gauthier lol I don’t think Seattle would take Rooney or Blackwell

I think Hajek is earned protection on D. He’s quietly been playing pretty well

100% Strome and Gauthier. Unless they want cap relief from Strome being picked.

Good to see Hajek playing well. He was doing good when he 1st got called up and then had his shoulder crushed

I think they'll protect Hajek because otherwise they really dont have anything else to protect on the blueline besides Trouba and Lindgren

Hajek is guaranteed nothing next season though, it'll be a battle between him and Reunanen in training camp with Mathew Robertson getting a look

I'm not trolling, lol. I was just curious how much he makes a year. I know they extended him last year just forget the terms. Not a bad problem to have if Kreider is your 3rd line wing To answer your question he is out for the year

Zib Panarin, Kreider, Buch all had their best years under Quinn. Not to mention Fox, Lindgren, Miller.........

This suggestion that Quinn is this horrible coach is so (frank)ing absurd. Again, he might not be the coach for the team going forward, but jesus some of the crap thrown at Quinn is ridiculous

Yup. Always good for competition. Now if Hajek was playing like last year, different story

I'm sure he got a NTC or NMC as well? Like said I can think of worse things then him being a 3rd line wing on your team. I mean you hope he is on the 3rd line in the next couple of years

next year the blueline should be

Lindgren-Fox

Miller-Trouba

Hajek/Reunanen-Lundkvist

and I think they should re-sign Brendan Smith to a cheaper deal for depth as the veteran
