Yes

In order for it to be a turnover, you actually have to have possession of the puck. The Farabee pass was a bad one and it handcuffed Gostisbehere.

Not sure what kind of pass that was to ghost. Maybe he missed maybe in his skates but after the isles goalie made all those saves moose needs that one.

1 good game, same thing tomorrow

- wcorvette

I was very surprised he didn’t save it. Thought he got over in time. I agree that he should have had it.

Did anyone notice Martin put a puck in our net way after the whistle and Clutter(frank) taking a run at Provorov...no response. It is a sign of a team that doesn’t care about or stick up for each other.

Although it looked like Giroux skated over to Martin and told him to watch himself or Lindblom would fight him.

That change of pace deflection that he not just stopped but (frank)ing tracked all the way to his glove was just inhuman. One of the best saves I have seen this season.
- PT21

It was a good save but let's not get carried away. In all of the Flyers games played this season, that save wouldn't make the top 25.

Listening to post game, but all I hear are sucky noises that sound like how good they played. Disgusting. Sorokin so much better than Hart.

Thing is if there losses looked like that I’d be ok with it, but they finally play well and don’t get two points. This runway is getting mighty short, if they don’t put something together quick it’s over.

And what will Fletch do between now and the next game...or will he wait till its more depressing or the offseason? This team and coaches are a horrible marriage
and its time for some divorces.

- RajaAmpat

I highly doubt Fletcher is going to do anything of significance. Everyone just needs to give all the massive trade scenarios a rest. A flat cap and expansion draft are extremely prohibitive. Most teams that are good right now have built through the draft and make moves that are the final pieces to put them over the top. The Flyers aren't close to a top tier team, considering the loss of Niskanen and the regression of some players they expected growth from (ex. Hart, Sanheim, Myers). Plus, it's been a weird season for a lot of teams, especially for those that had COVID shutdowns.

Nhl player can handle a bad pass, I’d put just as much blame on Ghost. It’s overtime in your own zone, bare down and catch the pass

Better game...only a few times they seemed to start running around in their own end. Simple play in their own end ended up in the net. Thought they controlled most of the game but couldn’t bury their chances. If that’s the effort they could throw out every game they would be a playoff team.
That sling shot break out on the PP sill requires guys to pay attention. That’s just lack of focus to try it when the defender is standing right in the lane.

AV making excuses....they need to find a way to beat a goalie. Av just said he thought Ghost "played well tonight". Did he not see the losing play. No accountability for anyone. But Sorokin was the reason they won. Not once has Hart been the reason for a Flyers win this year

Bright side, we only gave up 2 goals and not our usual 5 or more.

So we don't see bad passes bounce off of sticks in the NHL? Happens all the time.

Perhaps because he gave the puck up in his own end leading to a loss

Gostisbehere did play well. Farabee handcuffed him with the pass. Elliott overplayed to one side on the goal.

So we don’t see bad passes get caught?? You’re such a tool sometimes. It’s overtime, you know the situation, bare down for once

Agreed that Flyers goalies haven't stolen any games this year, and Moose should have made the save, but disagree that the OT goal was on Ghost. It was a bad pass from Farabee that Ghost didn't even receive and put him in a really awkward position.

Seems like he learned a lot during his 3 game hiatus.
- PLindbergh31

Gostisbehere, who is in his sixth full season with the Flyers, was asked if there was something he could learn from sitting and watching.

"I don't know about learn anything at this point in the state of my career," Gostisbehere said. "It obviously sucks being out, you never want to be out. I think I've got to look at some positives, I could use the rest and I'm going to go from there."

The Flyers didn't play like gutless turds tonight. Cookies and participation trophies for all.

They will be in 6th place in the Division before you know it. Unacceptable.

Awww, are someone's feeling hurt? I'm simply giving the facts. Yes, bad passes sometimes do get caught but you don't blame a guy because he couldn't handle a bad pass the goalie didn't play it right. Have I ever called you a tool? Get a grip. Knowing and understanding the game better than you do, does not make me a tool. How about bearing down and making a good pass? How about the goalie not overplaying the puck? How about bearing down on the late PP?

Of course it happens, but its a bad play. Especially in that time and place. It lost the game tonight. Yes I know Sirokin was great. But Ghosts turnover just cannot happen

He never had possession of the puck. That turnover is on Farabee, not Gostisbehere.

Safe to say this team needs change. I’m not sure it’s from lack of effort on Fletchers part but he hasn’t done a very good job this year. The team has not had a good year....even when they were winning early, they were not the better team most nights. If the changes don’t happen till the summer, then I guess we’ll just have to wait for next season.
Here’s the thing though. Fletcher was hired to get this team to the next level. 2 years in they are really no better. I personally don’t think it’s on the coaching staff this year. It’s not easy to be an NHL GM.....if it was anyone could do it. Over the next six month between now and the start of next season we are going to see if the Fletcher is the right guy....it’s not like he has a winning track record to fall back on.
