Vigneault needs to get his best players on the ice when you’re handed a gift with two minutes left in the game. This passive, sending the usual sad units out there isn’t going to cut it. In these moments you get Giroux, Couturier, van Riemsdyk, Ghost and Voracek on the ice and they play the full two minutes.

Easy adjustment for next game Patrick and Hayes swap spots. Patrick is starting to come around. Hayes has been horrible lately and is making terrible plays pretty much in all three zones. He can move to fourth line center or sit. It’s absolutely amazing how dumb he is on the ice.

Nothing like a PP to kill momentum and lose the game.

The Islanders didn't deserve 1 point, never mind 2 points tonight. But the Flyers just keep shooting themselves in the foot and eventually it sinks them. Ghost couldn't handle that pass, and Farabee just couldn't handle it physically after that. Bad play by both players.

What a shame, the Flyers played 60 minutes tonight for I think the first time this season, and they don't walk away with 2 points. This one hurts more than losing 9-0, believe me.
