Myers's contract is too expensive. NO thanks
- jetsnation

Who do we have left to sign? I think Myers is worth every penny he gets, plus he likes it here and furthermore is able to decipher Maurice’s complex systems. He also brought out some of the best hockey out of Morrissey.

Defensive pairings with Myers:

Morrissey-Myers
Forbort-Pionk
Stanley-Heinola

That d-corps has Stanley Cup written all over it!

Myers’ contract is waaaay too expensive and lengthy. I highly doubt Vcr would eat some of it, hard pass.

Super happy to see Logan Stanley score tonight!

I am hoping that we start cycling Harkins, Vesalainen, and Gustafson in the line-up. I do not see the value of investing any time in Thompson.

I do think with Scheifele, Ehlers, Connor, Hellebyuck, Morrissey, Dubois and Copp all being in their prime; and with Wheeler and Stastny not having much time left, this is the year to go all-in. I am not worried about “what ifs” in the expansion draft. I am more worried about how we are going to look in the semi-finals. This is the Jets year and I do believe this team will win this division as I have been stating since the beginning.

Happy for Stanley! The weird part is Stanley scored that goal from the opposite side. I think he definitely gets protected over DeMelo.

Pin last night loss on Brossoit. He's been very good this season but laid an egg last night.

The team was a bit flat last night, but definitely a game the Jets could’ve taken if not for 3 soft goals by LB. He gets a pass, but I’m concerned it could derail his solid play thus far. It seems when he has a rough outing it can spill over to future starts. I’ll hope this was an outlier.

Please do not trade heinola or samburg for Ekblom. Ekblom will not be enough of a difference maker.

Laine again no points again against the lowly Red Wings.....and only a minus 2 on the night. Not missing him much anymore.

Another Columbus loss against the Wings. Laine no points, no shots, and once again a minus 2 and once again under 15 minutes in ice time. Torts must be pulling his hair about right about now.

Torts must be real happy with Kekalainen these days.

Who cares what Laine does? Last I checked he played for Columbus. He is exactly what I said he was, he needs a special player to become a special player. His absence has been a godsend for Ehlers as he has always been the better player out of the two and now its finally showing. And, for the people blaming Torts, remember guys like Lecavalier, St. Louis, Richards and Panarain all had career years playing for this coach.

If you want to talk about anyone, Roslovic should be the guy being talked about. The man has gotten 21 points inn 29 games, mostly playing at center. Maurice criminally underplayed him and hindered his development. He could have been our own in-house solution at second line center. It makes me wonder about Harkins, Appelton and Copp. For Appleton and Copp, I feel sorry for both as they have to drag Lowry around the ice, hopefully they get an opportunity to play with Scheifele at some point. Ideal lines going forward:

Copp-Scheifele-Appleton
Connor-Dubois-Ehlers
Harkins-Stastny-Wheeler
Perreault-Lowry-Lewis

Tyler Myers has been the worst defenceman in the NHL this season in almost every measurable way, by pretty much every known player model I’ve seen.

I came out of the ocean to tell you you need to stop

I enjoy watching guys like Laine and Evander Kane fail. They are getting what they deserve. Kane crapped all over our city (and pretty much everywhere that he has played since) while Laine was a sad excuse for a team player.
I wish Roslovic well.

So far Roslovic has easily been the best player involved in the trade.

I am sorry that you spend so much time wishing for guys to fail. I would much rather be positive and wish that they learned something valuable and are now wanting to become better people.

I am also wishing that the Jets do something phenomenal. I am having silver dreams looking at this roster. Only thing missing is a proper steward to get us there!

Think about this, if Roslovic still played here, Maurice would have had him on Lowry or Thompson's wing getting max 12 minutes a game. We would have been calling him a bust and wanting to get rid of him. I feel like Harkins and maybe Appleton are the next Roslovic's on this roster.

I suppose that you can say prayers every night before you go to bed for Kane, but he is a lost cause. Maybe there is hope for Laine.

If Roslovic was here, he still couldn't crack our Top 6 (on the assumption that we traded Laine for Dubois even up).
