But its not just that though, I am watching Giroux racing for a puck and two Islanders come from behind his easily and take it away ... Its races to the pucks that concern me. - jd250

I honestly don’t think I can watch this team next year if significant roster changes aren’t made. - hereticpride
At this point, I would like Fletcher to decide what the plan is, either he believes in this veteran group and trades assets to augment them or he doesn't believe in them and thus needs to go with a youth movement. But I am not down with this continued mediocrity! |

Apparently one of the best skaters in the game can’t stand up. |

Fletcher was the GM of the Wild for 9+ years and they won 2 playoff series.
I asked when he was hired what makes anyone think he's going to build this team into a contender an no one had any answer. - PLindbergh31
His track record is one of mediocrity, hasn't shown the willingness to go for anything

Same. I could get behind a rebuild no problem. The last decade of Flyers hockey has been plagued by the same issues not being resolved and I’m just over it. |

I wanna offer my opinion on Nolan Patrick.
First, I’m a Nolan Patrick guy. The only thing to me that stands out that I don’t like is his skating. You can question his decision making. Behind the back blind passes. A lot of players do this but definitely looks bad when they don’t work.
My issue is, his lack of organizational help with his development. I have no issue with putting him on the fourth line to work things out or scratching him for a game. It’s the rushing him to the NHL at age 18. He probably doesn’t deserve PP time right now and a guy like Scott Laughton does. It’s a lot of mixed messages on his progression. Lately I’ve noticed him on the PK a little, after years of not using him there. Why? What’s his defined role? I think they use him weird. |

mediocrity might be putting it kindly. An argument could be made that he sucks. |

Don’t need a true rebuild...have a bunch of young guys already and hopefully some guys on the cusp. I’d actually like to se them switch some vets out and address the obvious holes in the line up and see what they have. |

Same. I’m just saying if they decided to go that route I wouldn’t mind it. Its just time to try something else. |

Fletcher for what its worth is a very conservative GM. I don't believe he's going for a total rebuild, and I would agree with that approach at this point. I'm thinking that we'll see a defenseman...not Ekholm coming back this way. Look...Flyers not a playoff team this year anyway. They are really not that far from who they were last year...hopefully a deal will happen over the summer for a top 2 d and the young players start to develop. |
