Fuk you’re a hard one to figure out. When the team is playing like crap, you’re head of team Pom Pom. When they win 4 of 5 you’re in here leading team doom and gloom.
You really an argumentive douche. - K-man25
Most people on here have the reading comprehension of a third-grader. Where did I ever say anything doom and gloom? I said they have a good chance at winning the division.
There's no way to make an argument that Markstrom has been a top goalie this year. He hasn't. That's not doom and gloom. If he turns things around and gets his save% back up to .915ish, the Flames are the best team in the division. I also don't think Giordano is going to be a Norris finalist and Tkachuk probably won't win the Lady Byng. Is that doom and gloom? |

Educated? Aren’t you the mental patient that insisted turtles aren’t animals? Evidently education has a different meaning in Swedish. |

You trade him. There is no way he is going to sign here again. Worse with Sutter. Great player under the proper circumstances but not the guy to build your team around.

Nice burn. ?
I simply did not forget that you’re dumb as dirt. What does that have to do with me being an Oilers fan, or you being a Flames fan? You’re clearly deflecting because you’re too stupid to come up with a better tactic. |

I agree. Bring up Mathew Phillips. Right shot, talented, Treliving searching for a right shot forward and he’s right under his nose. |

How many teams don't have goalies regularly stealing games for them? Like five? That's what goalies are there for.
He has save% of .903 and dropping. How do you say he's been a top goalie this year? - Hunkulese
Seems like he isn’t fully healthy. Came out utterly dominant and was not great in the short stretch leading up to him going on IR and has been shaky since returning.
That said, I’m a supporter in the concept that save percentage is partially a team stat. If you’re allowing one timers in the slot with regularity your goalie is going to have a very hard time staying above .900. |

Would love to know what JG's trade value is today.... he is truly a diminishing asset IMO.
He is 53rd in league scoring and 89th in PTS/GP.
Also not sure we can claim he has a great club friendly contract anymore. |

Arvidson or Rakell would be good fits but it depends on the acquisition cost.
I would not give up our 1st, Pelletier or Zary for either of those 3 since I dont think either would be enough to put us over the top. |

I dunno. Arvidson with that contract is pretty attractive. We NEED a top right wing right shot. I’d do Zary and a 1st. |

Assuming Looch waves his NMC, that trade would expose Dube or Mang to Seattle. If Looch doesn't waive you would likely be exposing both or someone else you don't want to.
If we trade for an established RW we would have to send a forward off our current roster the other way for CAP and expansion draft reasons.

If he can't stay healthy, maybe let Rittich play more than once a month?
Throughout his career, Rittich has been amazing when he's been getting regular starts in the backup role. Try and get him in that rhythm. |

If you have too many good players that you have to expose Dube, that's a good thing and not something to worry about.
Dube isn't good enough to bend over backwards to protect. If anything, put him in the deal.
I also think there's a decent chance the same thing happens that did last time and Seattle takes Rittich. |

So were going to resign Rittich before he is a UFA and then expose him to Seattle? Why would Rittich do that unless you overpaid him and then if he's overpaid why would Seattle want him?
Also Dube will have zero leverage as an RFA and he will be signed to a very low $ value contract so why would you make him expendable if your Tre trying to manage the salary cap for next year?

I’d be fine with that. Wouldn’t be the worst thing to give Ritter a 2 week run. |
