Hex needs to make a move or two.

Yesterday. I have no idea if he will. He's not Rutherford.

Rutherford screwed this roster so bad.

You would think we could trade ruh or riikola for an nhl forward. Half our forward lineup belongs in the ahl. Anything should be better than what we are icing.

It doesn't sound like trading is very easy this season. We haven't been seeing a lot of moves in general. I think this season is just tricky to maneuver.

I don’t think those two have a ton of value because they don’t play. The good move would be trading the guys above them because we know those two can step in and do just fine on the bottom pairing. Basically I’m trading any of Petterson, Matheson, or Ceci. Whoever is valued most league wide, I’m in.

Matheson would be ideal IMO, just incredibly unrealistic.

I thought they were starting to jell after the massacre at D. Now we have a massacre at F. McCaan goes down. Malkin and Bleuger go down. Now Tanev is out. They always needed a better 4th line, but I was starting to think they could make some noise. If Hextall sits on his hands, I don't think we make the playoffs now.

I think we don't fully understand how this season is affecting the trade market. Hextall has said things are tricky right now.

Yeah Hextal and Burke have come out very bullish on this team and I think both are the type that if we were going into a rebuild now they would have at least hinted so. They want to make moves, there might just not be anything there for what they’re willing to give up. I think that’s disappointing but ok. I don’t want to unload our final expendable assets on junk on a season that might be lost due to the Malkin injury.

That's definitely true. I honestly don't want to waste the last couple years of Sid/Geno so I'd be aggressive. The future is going to suck. I'm fine with a total rebuild in a couple of years. Be aggressive and give these guys a chance. I'm a little concerned Hextall is going to focus too much on the future.

We'll have to see about O'conner next year. Idk if he'll be an NHL center.
- 668710

IDK what he is at the NHL level, just noting he did play C in WBS. 4C appears to still be an open spot next year while LW he'd have to potentially beat out guys like McCann, ZAR, and Poulin.

At this stage, either aggressive or focus on future has pros to it.... I lean towards aggressive though haha

We could trade 2 dmen and still have enough.

Trade ruh cuz we have Friedman.

Trade pettersen or matheson cuz we have riikola and poj.

I'm just figuring trading ruh for a 4th liner that belongs in the nhl is easier than pettersen for a middle 6 forward.

Having 10 nhl dmen was dumb in the offseason. Each day that goes by is dumber.

Just home from a hike with little guy, missed whole first. Outshooting them but down by one... So would it be correct of me to think they looked a bit more urgent to start the game this time?

Home side just mentioned he was stuck on the ice for over 2 minutes, so might have been that.

I noticed it twice in the first. I guess it could just be coincidence of timing and line changes.

With Geno proving he can still play, I think it's a simple choice. Go for it. We were all wondering if he was in steep decline, but he proved it was lack of conditioning.

Wow.... Filthy goal for Rusty.
