A little early... Come back in about 7 years

I've said this several times but I think Joey D and Gus are the future of the goal tending for the Sens. However, I have so much faith in Gus. I know his record hasn't been that great. But the kids got talent.

I was at the snowstorm game last year against Carolina where Gus was the back up and he literally didn't let a goal in at all during the warm up. It was insane.

I'm one of the guys who wanted Drysale over Sanderson, but it's an impossible comparison until they've both had a few years in the league

Always nice to see a rookie have an impact in their first game. The reality is Sanderson and Drysdale are quite close in terms of prospect value.

Sanderson has the NCAA route which generally means later NHL debut times, especially in the COVID world.

I do think Drysdale will probably end up being the better offensive d-man but Sanderson should be a quality all-around d-man. Too early to call one a win or a lose right now. Both look to be very promising blue line options for both teams.

I say this acknowledging some of the silliness is people saying Stu is the best forward of the draft over Byfield and Lafrierre. To early to call.

I suspect Forsberg will back up Gus given Gus acquitted himself well in relief and has played more games this year. Honestly this could be a rough patch, but it's nearly impossible to be worse than what we've seen to date.

Yeah, it could get ugly, but we've seen horrendous goaltending already this season, and then the rest of the forwards looked terrible too.

Sanderson expected to stay at UND for the next year.

Only comparison we have is world-juniors so far, where Sanderson was the better player.
