I didn't get to watch the game last night but by the sound of things I'm pretty sure this one isn't on Barry

Bailey was flat out horrific in the second period... he gave the puck away so many times it was truly amazing.

whole team was just terrible.. They showed up to this game like they didn't have to try b/c the Flyers have been struggling so badly. Even the guys that usually give effort every shift were just flat.. tough to watch.

To try and be a "glass half full" guy.. I kind of thought if we lost these 2 or 3 games after Lee went down it might convince Lou that he HAS to make a big splash. If we kept the streak alive using guys like Leo and MDC perhaps he makes a lesser move not wanting to give up too much.

not sure if u guys have Athletic subscription but Staple just published a story on the KHL guy on his way over.. Golyshev. He is not a big guy but plays pretty big. I had never seen this clip... certainly not a clean hit
. but holy cow did he level that guy.

Until fairly recently, that would have been considered a perfectly clean open ice hit. He didn't leave his feet and just used his shoulder. They'd say about the injured player, "Well, that will teach him not to skate with his head down." Now, I think the hit gets penalized, because he's "an unsuspecting player" or something like that.

In the four games since Lee's gone down, the goals have been:

Wahlstrom, Bellows, Bellows, Bellows, Nelson, Wahlstrom, Dal Colle, Aho, Wahlstrom.

If we're going to throw blame around for the last two games against Washington and Philly, it should probably go the leaders on the team who need to pick up their game in Lee's absence, but seem to be falling off instead (in fairness, they did chip in a few assists in the two games against the Devils).

Nelson's passed up a ton of shots; Beau's been a non-factor; Eberle's scoring touch has gone away at a bad time; the fourth line hasn't brought the energy it usually does; and Barzal, even apart from the penalties, hasn't been all that good with his decision-making.

All fixable stuff, but the leaders have to lead!

Wow he destroyed that guy 😆😆. I thought the euro players were a bunch of pansies. That was great! Get him over here ASAP. He’ll definitely balance out the softness of Bailey, Nelson, Eberle and Barzal if that’s how he plays the game.

It seems like he could fill in readily on the 4th line in case of injury. If he has decent hockey abilities beyond hitting, he'd be fine in the Top 9.

I don't disagree. By the way, thanks for stopping by! Glad to know that UIF is no longer MIA.

With Lee down and now a couple of losses, I wanted to swing by and see what the experts were saying.

I actually read about him the other day when I think chiefs posted about him. The article translated KHL point production into his potential NHL points based on some factor that put him in I think 15 goals and 35 total points. I believe would slot him pretty well on third line. We shall see how he adjusts. But he has offensive capability with an edge that I didn’t realize until today.

3rd line sounds like a good spot. It would be nice to be able to bench one of those non-performing veterans to send a message.

Boston maybe having an outbreak it seems. Islanders might only end up playing two games next week.
