4th line will be interesting. I think Rooney and Blackwell will be on there. Then its Lemieux, Pizza Boy, Howden and Gauthier fighting for that last spot

Not a bad thing to have all that competition to stay in the lineup

For sure.
Pizza has to go. I don't hate him by any means, but I don't know how he seems to get a pass when we are discussing line ups. He skates well and brings energy, which the 4th line definitely needs. But, his offensive instincts yearn to reach the level of Howden's. That's not going to keep you in the line up.
He is certainly miscast there, but I'd keep Gaut on the 4th with Cap'n Rooney and Scorewell for a while and see what they can develop. His size, speed and skill with their energy and IQ could keep opponents defending against all 4 lines.

Not sure this one is worth the fight, Jan (yes, I am saying this to remind myself). Upwards of 30% of the fan base will be spouting this today, based on one game.

I was just saying that the fact that there was ZERO push back by the Flyers was as surprising as the goal outburst. No doubt the Rangers were moving and the shots were quality. Just figured a game with 9 goals scored in it would end up more like Monday's game than like last night's.

First game all year that the rangers got all the bounces their way. Scored on majority if not all of their high scoring chances. Hopefully this changed the tide for the season

No doubt the Flyers looked like trash last night, but the Rangers also looked killer. A chicken or the egg situation I suppose. I choose to think it was the Rangers playing really well. Some of those goals were the best all year. No goalie or defense is going to stop that Kreider-Zib give and go, or the Bread, Chytil & Lemieux slam dunks.

Absolutely. Also, the Rangers play stifled the Flyers come back. Consistent strong play keeps a team from gaining any momentum. And that was really impressive by the Rangers play.

17 goals in 3 games. 2 shutouts over the Bruins and Flyers in that many games.

The peaks are high and the valleys are low this season.
