I can't see us making any trade that doesn't change our ratio of wingers to centers. - Tonybere
A move like that would just be capitalizing on Buch's value. The intention of a trade like that would not be to improve the roster for the immediate. Robertson is a bonafide prospect that could easily be used towards obtaining a better C at some point.
Just like in drafting, it's good to accumulate players that are good regardless of their position. Helps you be flexible in trades for when you're ready to pounce.
P.S. I don't think they trade for a center this year. Maybe in the offseason, but it's not wise to do anything until they figure out what's going on with Zib. |

Yea I don't know if I blame him for being -27 when the team has 6 wins out of 27 games |

he's an RFA this summer, I wonder what kind of contract he gets, #1 overall picks usually never ever get bridge contracts these days |

The unfortunate thing for him is he has little to no leverage. |

I just proposed Buch and Lemieux for Fredric and Studnika on the Boston board. So we’ll see where that goes
They definitely could use Buchnevich. They need secondary scoring |

Ummmm...play them? Lol.
Isn’t Studnika kind of a big prospect/center? I know he was pretty highly rated a couple years ago. And Fredric is a mean sob. Lemieux just doesn’t cut it in that regard
Tones, I know you love Buch, we all do, but he really has to go. Saves them a ton money and an important roster spot. |

Ok I wasn’t sure if he still was. He only has 3 pts in 16 games. But I assume he’s got 4th line duties |

I still think when it’s all said and done the Kings just make to much sense as trade partners. They have Kopitar/Byfield/Turcotte/Vilardi/Kempe
I wouldn’t mind Kempe or Vilardi for Buch |

Could be a really good buy low center if they could pull it off but the Bruins might see him as Krejci’s replacement next season.
Really tough choice with Buch. Don’t hate the idea of a one year extension. |

The fit for a trade does seem to be there. Doubt the Kings buy at the deadline even though they are in 5th, so maybe an off-season move makes sense? Really hope management has something up their sleeves that blows us all away. Those internal debates must be intense, so many directions they could go. |

5 minutes and a game for boarding.
https://youtu.be/9HHbyvFk9mM - Rangers99
From the NHL rulebook:
41.1 Boarding - A boarding penalty shall be imposed on any player or goalkeeper who checks an opponent in such a manner that causes the opponent to be thrown violently in the boards. The severity of the penalty, based upon the degree of violence of the impact with the boards, shall be at the discretion of the Referee.
And Tanev and the Penguins announcers are calling it a clean hit. |

It’s a body check. That’s a terrible call and rule 🤷🏻♂️ |

Yeah, clearly boarding. Don’t see anything wrong with calling that a penalty. 5 and a game seems steep, but that’s where the league is now. Player safety comes first. |
