Hate to be the one to kick off prospect discussions, but what's the deal with that Raty guy? I thought he was supposed to be a stud. He's fallen way down draftboards, which makes me think he'd be a good C for us to take around the 10ish spot if Johnson is already selected. - Bean_Dip
Considering the COVID issue and lack of playing time by a lot of school and leagues, this Draft may end up being a bit of crap shoot. Ranking the players most recent play will be difficult. Maybe that means some players will drop and the Rangers can snag a steal? That's hopeful thinking. |

This whole stretch of him scoring goals, only one was a legit nice shot, everything else is him sitting in front of the net which does not help on a 3 on 3 situation. If you ARE gonna have him out there you want to have him out there with 2 shooters so he can disrupt in front of the net because hes not gonna be the guy to stick handle around the defense and create chances. Its not that I dont think Kreider shouldnt be out there, he needs to be out there with the appropriate people. Should be Chytil (Zibanejad if he ever finds his old self) and Trouba with Kreider. - aecliptic
His speed helps on a 3-3 and he could still go to the net on a 3-3 for a rebound, deflection or screen. I respectfully disagree. Out of all the forwards, Panarin might be the only guy I want out there ahead of Kreids. |

Rangers may be better suited to scout a shooter/scoring with their lineup.
Chaz Lucius - 6'1", 185
Analysis:
"A dizzying dual-threat pivot who centers the under-18 NTDP’s most dangerous line, Lucius missed most of this season with a lower-body injury but returned two weeks ago, much to the dismay of opposing goalies. He’s a confident stickhandler who attacks with speed inside or out, but he also has a goal-scorer’s touch and plus shot. Last season, Lucius led the NTDP’s under-17 squad in goals (31), points (50), and shots (100) while anchoring a top line with wingers Sasha Pastujov and Dylan Duke. He’s committed to the University of Minnesota and should be considered as dangerous a goal-scoring threat as you’ll find in junior hockey." |

Exactly. This forum needs this guy for many reasons.
Think of the comments and memes following after he scores a goal and Sam says he slipped it in.

Kakko has to get inside, he’s always on the boards. He does well along the boards, but he has to figure out how to beat NHL Dmen inside and get better shots. He has very low chance to score from where he shoots
He also should get PP1 time. Does he even a power play point in his career yet?

@wyshynski
Asked around about current status of NHL trade market, and heard a couple of common themes:
1. It's really quiet. A lot of teams are still within spitting distance of a playoff spot and have a "just get in, see what happens" mindset.
2. Anaheim, however, is OPEN for business. |

Strome and Miller arent going to be driving the play and taking shots on net where Kreider can do what hes best at. Thats why these guys just did circles in the zone until Miller just said fk it and shot straight into a defender. |

PP1 drives me bonkers
they dominate possession and always keep the puck in the other's team's zone, but they can never finish, and every single time when PP2 gets a chance, they've killed 1:36 off the powerplay
that's always the number, 1:36 was killed off
every single time

The problem is, a lot of these guys pass up chances on a good shot. No rhyme or reason. I mean who would you call on the team right now a straight up shooter? Really don't have one. Just have to hope whoever is out there shoots when they have a high percentage shot. |

Quinn needs to take the shackles off and let these guys run wild, what do we have to lose? Its not like what theyre doing now is working any better. I want to see what they look like when he gets in peoples face to be aggressive. |

all three goals that Panarin was involved in last night were extra fancy, so that spreads and everybody tries to be extra fancy the rest of the game

This is something I mentioned last night. I don't think it's as simple as letting the team run wild, but there should be more room for creativity. We kind of saw that happen in the second yesterday, and look what happened.
Basically I'm genius |

Panarin needs to gather everyone around and in his broken English tell them they can't do what he does and to stop trying. |
