It’ll be gm Pierre McGuire with coach mike milbury. It’s the Pegula way.

And then we will hear, what, we did what you wanted, we hired experience, the fans were wrong again!

I listened to the Krueger interview on WGR this morning. He is acting like a snotty child now

Howard: "Do you believe the message you're giving to the players is getting through"

Ralph "Why don't you ask the players that? As a coach, it's not a question worth answering because quite clearly you have to believe in what you're doing. I've been coaching 32 years.... one thing I learned is you never compromise on your principles"

This (frank)ing guy. The tone is worth hearing. It was very snotty

Literally its everything that happened at Southhampton.

He preaches accountability until he has to be held accountable and then blames others

I heard the same thing. He has clearly lost this team. If he has not been poop canned yet, My guess is he makes it to the end of the year.

Such a Pegula move. What a great way to crush players souls, alienate the fan base further, and tell the rest of the nhl and hockey community you just don’t give a frank. Welcome to the precipice of the next ten years of black hole hockey.

Just sell the franking team.

Wonder when the blow back will start hitting the bills?!?

I think its all about the money. he does not want to pay another coach that is not actually coaching for us. I can understand that I guess, but JFC do something about it then. Get a Real president of hockey ops guy, and have him work with KA to find the right coach.

If you can't afford to fire a coach, you shouldn't own a team

It’s clearly all about the lifestyle. But it’ll cost him so much more in the long run. He has to be the most short sighted, dumbest billionaire ever.

The really (frank)ed up thing is that luck plays a fairly large role in hockey, so you'd think at least once in the past 11 games they'd get lucky. But they suck so bad they're not even able to put themselves in a position to get lucky.

Ralph also said today that last night was the first "bad" loss of the 11 game losing streak. I guess he missed 3-0, 3-0, 5-2, 5-2, 5-2

I went out of my way to listen to this.. farce.

I noticed this too. I was curious as to the specific direction Howard would take with his questions. Anything more and you're coming off like Harrington. It's unprofessional but it's cathartic.

Ralph has no god damn idea what he's doing, and he knows he's (frank)ed, and he won't move a (frank)ing inch to try something different. I counted "principles" I think four times.

This, Ralph, is where your principles have gotten you.

Also, I don't blame him for his frustration. But he's not going to come out and say "I'm a failure and so are they." That's not what coaches do, especially a motivational speaker dressed as a coach.

What's incredible is that this man is still employed. People that don't even cover hockey take their rightful pot shots at this team. The Defector, the newish site where all the great parts of Deadspin went to, who barely cares about the NHL, just rightfully trashed the Sabres. Fortunately, like everyone else, recognize the great fan base.

What did happen with Southampton? I didn't look too much into it, but all the fanfare at the time represented how well he did to turn that team around into a successful franchise, then he decided to come back to the NHL.

Bullpoop Bingo
Krueger was infamous for his incoherent interviews, and was at his least intelligible when asked to explain what his role entailed. He would often talk in vague terms about providing ‘accountability’- a managerial buzzword that is becoming increasingly prevalent in every sphere of life. Yet he outlasted three managers appointed on his watch as Saints drifted to the brink of relegation.

Claude Puel, Mauricio Pellegrino and Mark Hughes were the ones ultimately held accountable for Saints’ slide down the Premier League, along with former director of football Les Reed. Apparently when things went wrong, Krueger was less keen on being held accountable.

“Deepening the roster” led to an increasingly bloated squad, with promising academy graduates parked at lower league clubs or left to tread water in the under 23s and millions of pounds’ worth expensive flops exiled to other European leagues..

Why were we told that he dug the team out of the bottom and brought them back to respectability? Can any soccer fans comment?

You paid Jonnu Smith more than Matt Milano. You paid Nelson Agholor more than Stefan Diggs.

So that's something.

And you signed Hunter Henry to 3/37.

Why.
