Excluding Myers and Sanheim ghost is the best option. He has played ok overall. He just isn’t a top pair guy or in any way a long term solution.

Other than Ekholm what are our other options? The pickings this FA are pretty slim. You have Hamilton who I doubt we land never mind even having the space for him then the rest of the options are less than desirable with most the players being in their late 30s.

Flyers are not in a position where they should be making a trade like this.

Other than Ekholm what are our other options? The pickings this FA are pretty slim. You have Hamilton who I doubt we land never mind even having the space for him then the rest of the options are less than desirable with most the players being in their late 30s.

Its funny you mention this because I was thinking of a plan where the Flyers trade for Ekholm this year, and then depending on what happens in the ED, i.e if JVR got selected or if Ghost gets traded, the Flyers make a hard push to add Hamilton. Having Hamilton and Ekholm in our top 4 along with Provy would be very nice!

Right now Fletcher should be blocking Dave Scott's cell number and not taking his calls. Seriously looking at whether the Flyers should be sellers rather than buyers. Decide what you want to do for the expansion draft and anyone of value that might not be protected, they should look to move rather than lose for nothing.

Some of the trade proposals on here crack me up. Did I see one that had Patrick being traded straight up for Eichel?? WTF!! If the Buffalo GM did that he would be fired on the spot. When looking at trade proposals you have to look at why it works for BOTH sides!! Thanks! Although I'd drive Voracek to the airport for a bag of pucks at this point.

They can sell and buy. Buy if it helps now and in the future. Sell Raffle Laughton. Try to sell Gus Braun Hagg as teams will want depth on D. Sell Elliot as well.

Doesn’t sound straight up to me. Doesn’t sound like a fleshed out plan, though, either. Patrick would be a very minor piece to any deal involving Eichel
