I am a supporter of AV, I think he is a good hockey coach and a proven winner, even though he does not have a cup. But now I have to criticize him on one major point. The Flyers have been down the last 2 games to the Caps and in the 3rd they have had key sequences that they needed to take advantage of, i.e 4 on 4s and Power players. Yet in all these sequences, one the best offensive players for the Flyers, Joel Farabee, is sitting on the bench. This MAKES NO SENSE!

You need goals to get back into the game, and Farabee is sitting??? Meanwhile Jake is doing laps with the puck in the O-zone, while generating no shots, then turns the puck over and is too tired to get back. G is sitting on the half wall waiting for a pass so he can one time it, Hayes is in Zombie land, JVR is begging for someone, anyone, to shoot the puck so he can deflect it, and Patrick is about 5 steps behind everybody else. But low and behold when the Flyers get a penalty, you guessed it, Farabee is out there killing it. Again, THIS MAKES NO SENSE! You don't leave you best horses in the barn when the game is on the line!

I agree completely here! AV has made some head scratching decisions starting last year in the playoffs. This year it's his continued exclusion of the bee... I don't get it. Of the set up is not working and they won't change the strategy then at least swap personnel around. I'd like to see the hee involved in a little more. I think he has earned it while other players on special teams have earned a spot on the bench

That said I am a huge fan of bee so I may be a tiny bit biased about his "misuse"

Less than 1 minute left in the 2nd, Phantoms up 4-1, those goals include the first pro career goals for Foerster and Allison.

The Phantoms are really exciting this year. Hopefully, Wylie is okay, apparently hurt from puck to the face.

The oabntoms have been more fun to follow than the flyers have been for the past few weeks!
It's good to see the kids doing well in the A and it's always great to hear how well wisdom is doing! I'm really cheering for that kid! I believe he is something special and we will all know how name very soon

If you’ll recall, I wasn’t ever against the experiment. I didn’t really expect the position change to be permanent for the rest of his career. But it made a lot of sense to get him slowly back into game action without having to play defenseman minutes and at the start, there were no open spots on the organizations blue line. Any chance to play, with all the time he missed, is good.

Morin did get reacclimated to game action with several games at wing between the Flyers and Phantoms. Then the Phantoms defense suffered a rash of injuries. He has stepped into the open spot on the Phantoms defense and played pretty well, according to reports.

It’s hard to say what happens if everyone is healthy again. I’m not sure if they were determined to get him to the NHL with the position switch or if they will now realize he could make it there still as a 6th defenseman, PK and physical presence.

I actually like Sanheim’s game this season.

I accidentally landed on the last page of the last thread. Someone convince me that I’m crazy and that Gostisbehere is a good defensive defenseman because he isn’t....

Yes, that the Sabres would love to get Couturier, but I didn't mean to imply I would make that trade, because I woundn't.

Its ok to be biased. I am more of a numbers guy and you look at Farabee's numbers, and they don't lie.

Provorov, the patron saint of Flyers defense, has made just as many, if not more, costly gaffes this season. And before you blame it on Ghost being his partner, the worst ones were with Braun or Myers on the ice with him.

BU knocked out early in the Hockey East Tournament this past week. O'Brien ended with a goose egg, no points no shots and only 3/9 on faceoffs. Still he was tied for the team lead in points this year and took a strong step forward. I think he will play one more year at BU before joining the Flyers. He is definitely worth keeping an eye on, he looks like he will be a very good player.

Is Eichel really on the trade block? If so, why wouldn't we offer Patrick? Not sure what else it would take to pull off.

He gave up cutting off his man on the third goal against last night. He wasn’t strong enough to tie up his man on the second goal against last night.

Kimmo Timonen for example had reliable defense partners in his career. Brayden Coburn belonged, especially as a former top ten pick in his draft class. Provorov hasn’t had that outside of Niskanen. Braun isn’t a good partner. Ghost isn’t a good partner. Andrew MacDonald his rookie season. Like, get this guy real help!
