Fact of the matter is this team is rebuilding, turning over personnel. It has to get bad before it gets better. Last year was an anomaly. Zib and Panarin carried the team. With Panarin out and Zib not being able to find himself this team is just a bunch of young players getting their teeth wet in the NHL. Is Quinn the coach to lead this team? It is really looking like he isnt. He hasnt had any consistency. Hasnt instilled an identity. Doesnt appear to have this team ready. This team needs leadership and direction. |

Quinn has developed some of the players but not to where I thought they would be. As a team they have not improved at all. No system or structure. He succeeded at Boston bc all the top recruits go there so the talent was top notch. He isn’t the guy

Since Quinn was hired in 2018 Rangers lead the NHL in:
PIM
PIM/GP
Penalties Taken/60
Bench Minors
Major Penalties
That coupled with the fact that they seem to come out flat 90% of the time, and even if they start OK look lifeless at some point in almost every game you gotta think it's about time for him to go. You can't fire all the players, but you can fire the coach. |

I don't think the beginning of games has been nearly as bad as giving up goals late in periods

Gorton really franked up this offseason with the 2 year Tony and Georgiev deals. |

To me there is ABSOLUTELY NO excuse for coming out flat, especially this year where every game is a 4 point game, and most are against long time rivals. Especially for a coach who constantly says he wants a team that's hard to play against, and wants grit. He should be riling these guys up before the game.
What is the pre game speech he gives ? Because it seems like it's
"Hey guys, lets go out there and just play it safe, stay out of trouble, don't do too much, and in a few hours we can all go home." |

Yea
Hindsight is 20/20 but man if they just chose Hank over Georgiev the money would have been the same and the contract would have been over after this season. Not like Gerorgiv is helping them win this season |
|

|
Georgiev sucks and won’t be playing in the NHL in 2 years |

Groton has made good moves but was saved by the ping pong balls.
The Trouba contract and mcd trade might come back to haunt him |

Lundkvist and Kravstov have the ability to start to make him look good again though

I don't know if I can fault him too much here.
Georgiev did look good last season and he bet on a continuation of that play as a backup, which would have been just fine. No one predicted the complete loss of his self-confidence and ability. The same as if anyone predicted Zib's play this season.
Tony D was a complete gamble. If he played well and kept himself straight, Gorton would have been a genius. Otherwise, he looks bad. That's what a 50-50 gamble is. |

Well my point is you didn't have to go 2 years for both. Could have done 1 year deals |

If all goes according to plan, the #NYR are expecting Vitali Kravtsov to join the team in about two weeks.
I’m told getting him into #NHL games will be a priority |

Has a player even fallen from the good graces of the fans as quickly as Zib has? This time last year some of you were looking to legally change your name to Mika😂😂 now the guy is getting destroyed on here nightly |

we also don't know what was discussed though. who said either player wanted a 1 year deal? What if they wanted 2+ year deals and gorton was able to settle on 2?
Guess we can just expose both in the expansion draft now which is a plus? |

Back to feeling like Quinn just needs to be replaced, can not for the life of me figure out Lemiuex on the 2nd line and Laf on the 4th, why can't we develop star players, why can't this organization just get it right for once? |
