Agreed. I also feel like he'll be someone who burns us on a regular basis if we trade him. The flip side to that is who do we move then? Something has to give with the abundance of top 6 wingers we have

but, with the cap not going up for 4 years and all these young wingers, and then having 18 million a year locked into Panarin and Kreider until 2026, is it the wisest thing?

I like Buch as well but not sure how they keep all these wingers. Someone has to be an odd man out I would think

Buch is still an RFA at the end of this contract right?

In an ideal world, Buch would have 1 more year on his contract to determine who pans out.
THOUGH, where do we fit all these top 6 wingers to get them playing time? You cannot figure out what a player brings if they are only play 5-8 mins a game.

Yes. Buch is a RFA

So sign Buch for another year, give Kratsov a year to see what we have. I don't see the issue. Top 3 right wings are Buch, Kakko and Kravs. The rest whatever. Sorry TJ

that could be arbitration though

but ultimately that may be what they do, one year deal

I just don't see the problem. I mean if we trade Buch the right side would be Kakko, Krav, Gauthier? I like it better with Buch

For sure, just dont think they can afford all of them especially if they want to add a Center

yeah but one of Laf, Kreider or Panarin could move to the right

all three of them are top 6 forwards

Kreider/Zib/Buch
Panarin/Strome/Kakko
Laf/Chytil/Krav

Or even flip flop Laf and Kreider. Kreids seems to be on fire away from Zib

1 year deal for Buch though and I believe we have more cap space coming with stuff coming off the books(buyouts). Could be wrong though

Don’t be sorry, when Gauthier is a top 6 winger elsewhere, just remember that I called it
