I feel like saw instant chemistry from those 3. Whether or not they put the puck in the net, they have driven play from their first shift together.
That trio excites me. All with size, vision and skill. Kakko has controlled board play no matter who he's playing against most of this season. - Tonybere
Now we need to see that power get to the net. |

For sure.
That has been the biggest flaw in their poor performances. Young players needing to learn that you have to find a way to work it inside to have success. |

ultimately this is what I want to see
Kreider-Zib-Buchnevich
Panarin-Strome-Kravstov
Lafreniere-Chytil-Kakko
I feel like Kravstov should play with two vets at first, but Kakko and Kravstov can be switched around
now maybe Barron cracking the lineup, 4th line with Blackwell and Rooney?
something has to give here but Lemieux, Howden and Gauthier
they need a trade - jimbro83
I think because of his age and need for a new contract Buch is the man to get traded. Then we will lose another forward in the Expansion Draft. That opens 2 spots right there... |

Looking forward to seeing Kravtsov for this very reason
most his goals this year were right around the net |

Everyone agrees the only thing Howden brings is penalty killing. It doesn't bode well for him that he sat yesterday and the PK was 5 for 5 |

there's just way too much concern about Brett Howden
look how great Zibianjed played yesterday, they need him to excel to win games vs these opponents in this brutal division

I think you are right.
I just read an article about our expansion plan. Although it was old enough that it listed DeAngelo as a lock to be protected, it gave a pretty clear outlook.
We are actually looking real, real good in this regard. With ADA out of the picture, that allows us to protect Hayek and not expose a single D man that might be a significant part of the roster until Nils and Schneider get here.
In net, they just need to discover whether Georgie stays or they want to keep Kincaid a while.
The only questions are at forward and even then, we are looking at losing someone expendable like Gautier, Howden, Lemieux or Rooney. I'd imagine they will decide to either protect Gautier or Rooney depending on what we see over the coming weeks. Probably Gaut, but we all love what Capt. Rooney brings. |

Wasn't on the site yesterday, but watched the game.
That was a great 60 minute game. Bravo Rangers. Up and down solid play. I'm so happy. These are tears of joy. |

I was just saying the belief is Howden has a free pass because of his penalty killing skills. Yesterday may be the first time he has ever been scratched, and the PK was fine. There are other players I would rather see play over him

Rooney is the future 4C, he’s earned it. Guy is a threat on the PK and has a better all around game with some grit. Wonder what Howden can get us. He’s a former 1st and is still only 22. |

I know if the breadman didn’t miss the games he has he would lead the team in scoring. But everyone seems to want to get rid of the teams leading scorer in Buch, I don’t understand the thinking. |

Because of finances. He’s gonna get paid. And he’ll get a pretty good return. They have to many RWs |

Because we have a glut of wingers, we should get rid of the guy who is producing instead of waiting a bit to see how the others develop. |

Yeah, I have probably been one of those talking about Howden on the PK, although I believe face-offs were also a factor. But, I don't think it was ever mentioned that Rooney was always his partner on the PK and he's also doing OK at the dot.
We should take up a collection to get Howden a couple nice raincoats to prepare for life in Seattle. |

I'm picking up on your sarcasm!
I have become a big fan of Buch. He gets blasted on here for being inconsistent, but I feel its much less so than others (looking at you Kreider). He has a great IQ, plays with an edge when called for, now excelling on the PK...
If he realizes that the flat cap kills any chance he has of staying here, but getting the $5M deal he probably deserves, then we have to keep him. The problem is all the young guys who we will need cap space for and the fact that every RW behind him has huge potential. |

I guess we will see how bad he wants to stay a ranger. He plays all parts of the game and seems to be able to plug in anywhere. He’s a above average passer which at times he over passes which is annoying. I like him but won’t kill me if he goes. Just can’t get rid of veterans that seems to be well liked |

Not really. In this league(especially this division) now you need 4 lines going. If all he does is PK thats not a reason to keep him. Plug in someone else who can contribute offensively and defensively. Cant rely on Zib and Panarin to carry 99% of the load. Need contribution from everyone |
