It’s games like this that make the poopty games tough to swallow. They have shown their ability to win and dominate games. Just need to do it more consistently. - Bean_Dip
Now that the team is fully healthy minus Shesty, hopefully they can play some consistent hockey in front of the goalie.
I wonder if they let Kinkaid run with this for a little. |

Kinkaid definitely gets the next start --- earned it with a road shutout! |

The outstanding defense really made his life so much easier only having to face 18 shots. |

Will be interesting to see how much longer Shesty is out. I would let Kinkaid get the next start if he’s not able to return, no doubt. |

I don't see how he can't start after a road shutout. He looked calm, ready and good when needed today. |

The biggest thing is the team plays with confidence in front of him. It seems when Georgiev gives up a softish goal they all drop their heads. |

Morgan Barron was called up from Hartford tonite and placed on NY Rangers taxi list. I wonder if he is going to get a shot at 4C since they FINALLY sat Howden?? |

Barron and Kravs. Really something to look forward to. I’d rather take there mistakes then watch Howden do absolutely nothing. Him not being in the lineup yesterday honestly made me smile as much as Johnson being scratched. |

well a good sign is Chytil taking faceoffs and actually doing pretty well, 13-12 so far in the two games
obviously Rooney is a better option to play over Howden, and with Barron, Howden really may be squeezed out

Yes his wrist/hand is doing a lot better. Chytil has improved so I hope his face offs trend that way as well. Rooney has enough offense to stay in. Way stronger on the puck and a short handed threat. I have a feeling that when Barron comes up he’s not leaving anytime soon. |

ultimately this is what I want to see
Kreider-Zib-Buchnevich
Panarin-Strome-Kravstov
Lafreniere-Chytil-Kakko
I feel like Kravstov should play with two vets at first, but Kakko and Kravstov can be switched around
now maybe Barron cracking the lineup, 4th line with Blackwell and Rooney?
something has to give here but Lemieux, Howden and Gauthier
they need a trade |

I like that lineup. Lemieux has been a waste to me. Always falling, dumb penalties and hands of stone. Gauthier is the only keeper. I don’t know who would want Lemieux or Howden.

MTL did very much want Lemieux prior to us signing him.
Gauthier has enough skill potential that someone might bite on him as well. |

these guys all hovering in and out of the 4th line better play their balls off when they get a chance with Kravstov and Barron coming

Ive been high on Barron in the same way some of you have been on Chytil.
I also have a hard time seeing Kravtsov jump into the lineup out the gate on the 2nd line ahead of Kakko, unless LAF, Chytil and Kakko develop some sick chemistry. |

Whats up with Lemieux? He should be trying to fight every game and you rarely notice him out there these days
I was so pumped when they got him.. |

I feel like saw instant chemistry from those 3. Whether or not they put the puck in the net, they have driven play from their first shift together.
That trio excites me. All with size, vision and skill. Kakko has controlled board play no matter who he's playing against most of this season. |
