Traktor down 1-0.
We are officially 50 minutes away from the Kravtsov countdown. - jimbro83
The best part about Kravtsov is he is in game shape, playing a season and some playoff games. Will take a few practices to get him acquainted with the team but its not like he would come over and be starting from scratch trying to build up to game shape.

it's gonna be hard to have Buchnevich, Kakko and Kravstov all playing RW on powerplay 1 at the exact same time
nothing to do with anything, but almost exactly 40 years ago, the Bruins pretty much had called out the Northstars in the press as a bunch of pussies, so the next time they played them they made sure to show them they weren't

I think buch has to be traded with this log jam at wing and his new contract he’s due - nyrangers2
A little premature for that move, I would think, but yes, IF Kakko, Kravs, and Gaut continue to grow/produce then Buch gonna be traded. It's crazy that NYR has to start thinking about those guys next contracts and the cap problems that will come in the coming years. GOtta love the cap era

With the flat cap I hope the Eichel talk goes away, great talent horrible cap hit for a team loaded with prospects, get rid of the dead weight like Smith, Johnson, PDG, Rooney, Howden and lets see what the other kids have, Nils, Kravstov, Ruenanen, Barron, Robertson etc.
Please God no.....No More Gary Thorne. Couldnt stand him back in the 90's to 2000's and would hate it just as much now. There are other good--better--announcers than Thorne, why does everyone want to go back to him? - Amanion
Yeah but had the 2nd best call in the 94 Stanley cup playoffs right behind Rose’s “Mateau,Matteau,Matteau” with “Do you believe it, Do you believe it? He said they would win..........”!!!!!!!
he could absolutely be playing games by April 1st I think and with the deadline April 12th it makes things interesting
I don't know how they fit all these wingers - jimbro83
If they keep sliding I could see them moving on from Buch. I ripped him a few blogs ago and he turned it up a little since then but he's just too inconsistent for what his next deal is due to bring him. Hopefully a contender wants him and will give us a good prospect or pick and we can free up that space for the future.
I have to believe one of our prospects/players would produce similar given the opportunities he is within the next year or so otherwise we have much bigger issues.

I have a love/hate relation with Buch, but I also feel like him and Lafreniere seem to be developing a little chemistry
it just seems like with the NHL cap situation and all these RW's it doesn't make a whole lot of sense to be tied down with another long term big money contract for a winger

This is the sad reality of it.
Buch has blossomed into a fantastic 3rd round selection! He has shown determination and passion to develop through the benchings and the ice time reductions. Call him streaky if you want. But, what I've always liked about him is that you can see it when he realizes he needs to pick up his game and get it done. The intensity comes and in the last year or more the results have followed behind.
I agree we will have to move on (unless there are unexpected development problems from others), but I won't dismiss his leaving as just business either.

I feel like that is the reason he's expendable, not just the prospects, but he seems to go through those stretches where he doesn't do much, and then picks it up. If he played like the player that picks it up all the time we wouldn't have an issue, just like if Kreider played with his edge all the time he'd be a dominant force 80 games a season, not the 40 he typically is.
The flat cap over the next 4 or so seasons doesn't help either, especially with the number of quality wingers we have that are on entry level deals, will be restricted free agents, or haven't even signed their ELC yet.
