Oh snap, there's your answer.

Our 22 year old young D that plays 14 minutes a night on a disaster of a D corps and has even less points is a replacement for the 19 year old playing 18 minutes a night on the contender.

Josh Anderson only scored 1 goal last season.

Bob Gainey never scored more than 21 goals so he's not very good either.

Big test coming up against the Senators on the road for a 2 game series.
Should determine if the Canucks are actual bottom feeders or if they are a step above the bottom feeders.

By all rights they should be ahead of the Senators. I know they've beaten MTL and TO but so have we.

Maybe a loss to the Senators will prompt changes like it did in Calgary and Montreal.

Why does gloryhole have such a negative connotation? Sound like a bunch of Mormons in here

Funny how that works isn't it?

All the cheerleaders used to come out every October when we'd start hot before settling in to a bottom 5 finish.

Sitting in 20th spot right now and I had the club at 16-19 which is still very possible. How does that translate to bottom 5?

This is an interesting strategy.
Although you are assuming that the cap will be going up at the end of the cba/4 years.
With the amount of money lost last season and this season, the players will suffer for a decade and the cap will probably go down after the 4 years.

- Reubenkincade

i would disagree (obviously based on my initial post.) i think the economy (generally) and more specifically sports advertising will rebound relatively quickly.

once people are let back in, and let's be honest, it's going to be 100% attendance next October, the cash will come back.

i understand that not all segments of the economy (or population) will or can survive what's happened. i just think that there is enough money out there even when it comes to disposable income.

Mostly because games in hand matter?

I'd also say we've been fairly fortunate with injuries this year despite losing Miller at the start and EP for the past few games.

I'll predict bottom 8.

I'll stick with my original prediction. While the team has shown signs slump busting we are still circling the drain to some extent in terms of consistence of play. Not good enough for top 10 and not bad enough for bottom 10 IMO. If I had to guess right now I would say bubble just out of a PO spot 17-19 overall.

Heard Myers was the Canucks best D for a 30th straight game.

Bold strategy Cotton!

All teams aside from the Oilers and Sens have at least 3 games in hand.

If you go by points % we're 6th from the bottom. I'll be surprised if we get out of the bottom 10.

Time for JB to trade some players. The mix isnt there with this group. Get closer to the top 5.

The revenue lost from the league over the past 12 months and 18 months, by the time this season is over, will come off any revenue, until it equals the 50-50 share, which will take about 6-10 years to repay.
Just my opinion, but I do agree, arenas will bee pretty full everywhere, except Arizona of course.
